What did you do in your last life to deserve that?!

Barbour. The official blazer of Suffolk. A lightweight summer one to swap with my heavyweight winter wax one.

I wonder if the White House risk log has “Musk may have all the passwords.” in the top 10.

Please let Musk call Trump a TACO.
The temper tantrum on that one would be spectacular.

One man, one vote. And that's Nigel Farage. Until he resigns, nothing will change. Once he resigns, it'll collapse faster than UKIP.

Depends on your definition of decisive.
These ones jump out as things that changed major outcomes:
- Stalingrad
- Six Day War
- Falklands (certainly changed US military minds on UK capability)
- "Admin Box", Burma, Feb 44
- Calais & Arras in 1940 in allowing the BEF to escape

Also, properly designed reasoning capable of going “hold on, that’s clearly rubbish” is probably a scientific advance away, not just an iterative increase in tech functionality.
Until then, you’ve got over-leveraged companies pushing their AI into your face to try to stay solvent.

Italian street food is good, and it's so easy to find good food through the country.

Malaysia is top of my list so far. Three distinct cultures give three distinct food routes, plus the fusion foods.
Not sure that can be beaten.

At work, we were talking about going abroad and loving the street food around the world. So many folk looked in horror at the thought.
That surprised me so much. It's a sizeable chunk of a good holiday experience for me, getting the local food done the local way.

Another example was last autumn, we went to a really nice Malaysian resort. One English couple we saw regularly had nothing but the one restaurant that did fish & chips, and they complained on their last day to the waiter about all the "foreign muck" and they couldn't wait to get home.

I remember going to Marbella on a work retreat about two decades ago, it was packed with English pubs and English fish & chip shops. Effectively Clacton-on-Med.
I've never understood that, just doesn't make sense.

I went to manual billing when Anglian Water tried to massively increase my bill about a decade ago. I get a bill every six months that I pay in arrears, much better.

It would amuse me greatly if the orange one had a temper tantrum and tried to deport Musk.

Our future is Wall-E. That film was way ahead of its time.

It’s really interesting stuff when it’s not being used inappropriately.
My first ML project was in 2000 leading an international anti fraud neural network programme.
Too many of the “modern” AI systems being sold to the NHS are the same 3 decade old tech pretending to be bleeding edge new.

"Of course we need AI doctors, for the poor obviously, keep the proper doctors for those who can pay for them."

The majority of our evening/weekend nursing staff in our Hubs are employed elsewhere and take these shifts as extra income. Freedom to book the shifts they want, when they want.
We employ these people by zero hours contract so we manage their tax, and they/we don't have agency fees to deduct.

I stuck to the literal *franchise* in there...
But non-franchise TV sci-fi series without this is just wrong.
