I have nothing good to say about Trump, and agree he has repeatedly violated the Constitution; however, if taking military action without Congressional approval is a crime, pretty much every recent President--Democratic and Republican--would be guilty.

You surely expect nothing less from members of a cult, which is what we are dealing with. These are not rational-thinkers we are talking about.

You are absolutely right. Unfortunately, the strategy of making everyone numb by saying so many crazy things is effective.

Apparently, any kind of protesting is now an insurrection, according to these goons.

Sure would be nice to have a federal government that believed in vaccines.

As much as I disagree with Rand Paul, he's at least intellectually consistent and doesn't change his views in response to the latest poll.

Yes, who would have seen Putin shooting missiles into Ukrainian cities? That is totally unforeseen* *If you are 1) a complete and utter idiot or 2) someone with a complete lack of judgement and morals who is willing to overlook all evidence to avoid admitting being wrong

Wait, I though we didn't need FEMA anymore?

How anyone who served can support him is beyond me, given his complete lack of respect for them.

Not my preferred candidate, but I do agree the Democrats are going to need someone who can go toe-to-toe with the GOP candidate. I can only imagine what is going to be thrown at the Democrat, which is why I suspect focus groups will be looking for someone they perceive as "strong."

It's important that people not take for granted that these current polls will continue. A lot can happen in that time. That includes both continuing to oppose what Trump is doing and pushing Democratic leaders to do more.

That's quite the mental image.

I agree with those who say it's important for Democrats to have an affirmative message, particularly on economic issues. It's not enough to be against Trump. However, it's possible to do both, and these polls support that.

We knew he had sold his soul after he back a Trump supporter after the 2016 campaign. Even so, it's so painful to watch this. If nothing else, I would have expected him to appeal to Trump's instincts--for example, that you need a diplomatic presence in Africa to compete with China for minerals.

"How close they came" implies it's not still going to happen. A bit optimistic.

If the Pope, in his current state, can stand up to Vance, plenty of other leaders can as well.

When he orders the DOJ to go after them ... or he suspends their security clearances ... or he penalizes their law firms ... or he fires inspectors general ...

How the Senate convinced itself that it was okay to confirm RFK Jr. is beyond me. It was so clear how much damage he is going to do.

I appreciate that Senator Murphy is willing to actually say this. Now to actually do something about it.

This is definitely FUBAR and not just a SNAFU. (And I do want a President who understands the different levels of fucking up.)

Not that these guys care about facts, but Denmark has actually been a great ally--during the Cold War, Bosnia, Afghanistan, Libya, etc. They should be holding up Denmark as a model for what a good ally looks like.

There is going to be a true FAFO moment in two months or so.

Same people who probably say, "keep the government out of my Medicaid."

Even if they obeyed this, they have already destroyed the organization. It's so depressing.

They think they are being so smart, but this is going to bite them in the ass.

Can't say they are wrong.
