I guess when I have fast feelings it's either being instantly upset by cruelty, or joyful with a pleasant surprise or feeling of relief.
You're making me notice that my feelings are generally slower than most people. Maybe that's good for us? More time to react rationally before emotionally?

Thinking about it more- maybe for me the speed depends on the feelings and situation. If it's sometime like being lightly insulted or ripped off, it takes awhile for the feeling to sink in
I notice in emergencies other people freak out instantly but I don't til it's over. Maybe semi autistic trait?

Depends.... Normally my feelings are faster.
In a frightening emergency where I need to take action my thoughts are much faster and I feel it later

Yep, between Inslee and the unions. But Ferguson said instead of giving those raises he wanted to give the employees furloughs instead because he didn't want to raise taxes

I don't oppose the wealth tax, but even without it I want that budget signed.
He's definitely not sending the budget back for that since he already rejected the idea, but he better not line item veto the employee raises that he didn't support to begin with even though they were already negotiated

Now sign the budget the legislature just delivered that gives us state employees raises

I didn't know she had her own channel. Definitely telling my wife about this and then seeing what desserts she ends up wanting us to make

You need to drop the idea of increasing property tax and go with the plan proposed by the legislature that we voted in, a wealth tax

I'm glad it's working so well. Paco here had a hard time with the catio door so far. Larry does fine with it, but Paco finds it challenging and it closes on his tail.
We had to do some treats as motivation to get him determined enough to push through, and that seems to help but he's still learning

Sure, but 4% savings when there has been 4.2% inflation for the last five years isnt going in the right direction, and that was my whole point - and I think what mark was saying
comment in response to

Nice, better than mine. Not everyone can get membership in a CU like that and there are probably limits to the number of withdrawals per month.
That and the higher potential gains are why young people use coinbase and Robinhood for "savings" so I understand what mark is trying to say though

Inflation for the last five years has averaged 4.2% per year, what does your credit union give?

Yeah, I don't blame you. I had to get my coworker to explain our spectrum lease to me when I started at the tv/radio place and was supposed to manage the contract
I honestly don't know, but I suspect this is related to the attempt to end Corporation for Public Broadcasting, NPR, and PBS this month
comment in response to

The spectrum is frequencies that can be broadcast on, and this is prepping to let businesses get more of it
I used to work at a public broadcasting place, we rented some of our allocated spectrum to a cell phone company
They are prepping to kill public broadcasting and I wonder if this is related

We're using Purina Calming Care for cats. I didn't expect it to work because why would a probiotic help anxiety?
First I tried splitting one packet daily between both cats and it didn't help, but giving Larry a full packet all at once each day mixed into his wet the food is totally helping him.

Cute. I haven't seen a lot of cats with this pale orange color. Paco had a darker orange brother, but he was adopted by someone else before we picked up Paco and his brother Larry.

Same, but it doesn't sound like mine will. She'll take the easy path and stay home instead of truly represent me

Yeah, but the Republicans are planning to seat people in the dem seats to make it look like the dems aren't gone.
Our representatives should probablyshow up and noticeably exit

Don't believe the lie that all of CPB's funding to stations goes to NPR. While it can be used to pay for NPR programming, it is also used to pay for broadcasting equipment and tower maintenance, electricity, rent, reporting, employees salaries, and other stuff that keeps the stations on the air
comment in response to

Some stations couldn't operate without that funding, others would have to scale back local programming production and reporting.
They're going to try to kill NPR, but they don't care if they shoot Mr. Rogers in the process.

CPB funding is allocated two years in advance, but they'll probably illegally try to stop it immediately. That would probably end up getting blocked by the courts, but who knows.
The 2 year delay gives some hope though that the next congress could restore it, but don't count on it.

Yeah, there's definitely a difference between what that cop did and what the police department is posting on Facebook right now
