Jeff Bezos appears to be wearing the wrong waistcoat for his wedding. This is a dinner suit (aka a tuxedo) and thus requires a dress waistcoat, which is cut lower on the body. He's wearing a business vest, which is designed for business suits. Needs a formal waistcoat like the one on the right.

Justice Jackson did not come to play today (Birthright citizenship/nationwide injunctions)

So my former political party has become a fascist-embracing cult, but everybody goes on & on about how messed up the Democratic Party is? Seriously? It’s the “Democratic Party” that has issues? Not the party that’s given up on democracy and ignores the rule of law? Fuck that.

They’re just going to keep taking your rights away and pretend it’s all Constitutional and dare you to stop them.

I miss having a human president.

There are too many to count but Baghdad Barbies strike again apnews.com/article/jan-...

NYC Comptroller Brad Lander: "I don't think the line for the [Democratic] party right now is between progressives and moderates; I think it's between fighters and folders."

That’s why it’s called a trade war, “Tit for tat"! You drop tariff bombs on them, then they drop tariff bombs on you, and on, and on, and on… In the meantime, the American people pay the price. Remind us, how many deals have been done so far?

Christian Nationalism is religious rule, too.

When the court comes against the constitution, it is the constitution that must stand and the court that must fall. This is an argument Dems can and must win, and must pack the court.

Consider donating to Friends of the Everglades and the Center for Biological Diversity. They’ve filed a federal lawsuit in U.S. District Court to try and stop “Alligator Alcatraz” before it opens.

Seconded

Based on random reports that have hit the internet, it seems at least 9 people have died in ICE custody in the USA, and there's been at least one stillbirth. I imagine the true stats are far beyond these numbers, but ICE is -- like the rest of this administration -- completely untrustworthy.

More and more I understand this moment as reverse Reconstruction.

Capping college loans will keep poor kids out of college. That’s the plan. That’s been the plan.

NYC friends — If you voted for Cuomo because you said he would be the best choice to stand up to Trump… and now you’re supporting Eric Adams, who is in Trump’s pocket… it might be time to rethink some things. Trump controls Adams. A vote for Adams is a vote for Trump.

Finally a corporation is reacting to what’s happening here. Don’t be surprised that it’s not a car company or a shampoo brand. They’re all still pretending that life is normal. It’s a bookstore. Barnes and Noble fills their store display windows with Orwell’s 1984 and Atwood’s Handmaid’s Tale.

Part of the reason that universal injunctions became so prevalent seems to be because Presidents are increasingly making huge legal/policy changes via executive order. Maybe we can get back to Congress actually making the law and the executive merely enforcing it??

As a man, I wish women would cutoff sexual relations with all men until reproductive freedoms are restored apple.news/AtpRiJ_qqSS6...

Supreme Court Rules 6-3 To Open Evil Tomb Of Batibat

Congress Forgets How To Pass A Law

US Bombing of Iran: • Was NOT complex (3 sites bombed w/ 7 B-2s, and 1 sub firing 30 tomahawks) • It was NOT historic (military historians laugh in unison) • Trump did NOT direct it in the slightest (He can't even put on his own make-up) • The operation was NOT secretive (Trump made sure of that)

Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson’s dissent hits the target. She is reminding us of the stakes in this case. And she is spot on. www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/24p...

The rest of the world leaders ignored our Big Baby In-Chief. The bully finally got a taste of what he deserves for treating everyone like shit while he lines his pockets.

This is a lie (as usual). While I disagree with the decision, IT LEAVES THE INJUNCTIONS OF THE BIRTHRIGHT EO IN PLACE, just narrows them to the plaintiffs. And it does not limit nationwide class actions, which will be filed to achieve the identical outcomes. The EO remains unconstitutional.
