I think it did show investors that there is such a thing as too much microtransaction, which I think is good long term. I was kind of hoping more games would go back to the old business model because of it, but I don't think that happened.

They really did operate with the assumption that a "statesman" would always be in office by virtue of the level of office. It's also important to know that all the power at that time was held by white, landed elite who could read.

I'm not sure what it is about uneducated white people who see this and really believe it's not racist. You see, educated racists know this shit is racist - they just don't care and prefer to gaslight you until the the Day of the Rope comes or something. But dumb racists really think this is benign.

At every university, the business kids are the rejects from every other program. But they always end up talking a big game about working hard and sweating for the win. Well, why didn't they work hard in their previous program? Why couldn't they make it in any of the engineering disciplines?

It was not liked from the beginning and the reason Project: Snowblind was exised from the Deus Ex franchise. I liked it and it's the only Deus Ex game I've finished so far.

Thankfully my alma mater (UMFlint) has for our programs as of several years ago and their PhD admissions are also test optional along with the rest of the UMich system for the computer science program. I think some programs at Ann Arbor are hanging at the moment, though.

Now THIS is the proper way to tell if someone used an LLM. You can't tell from use of em-dashes, advanced adjectives or any of this other bullshit commonly found on the damn GRE your department hasn't gotten rid of yet!

To this day I'm in a discord server with a bunch of lefty tech types who have repeatedly voiced opposition to any kind of credentialing that Black people have to pursue just to get our foot in the door. Yes, white people think they're too good for CS degrees.

This was right before they put in a nepotism rule. They started sourcing as many as they could find from a certain company that many of the leadership came from.

One of my previous "employers" had some white kid doing internships in QA solely because his dad was a PM there. He once got infiltrated by an easily avoidable virus any CS student could evade. What the hell was he doing there?

The tech industry is ground zero for this. Why is Sam Altman in charge of PhDs when he only has a high school education?
