First coat on 3 ceilings. Sand the small toilet. Fit scotia to the skirting in said toilet. Second coat on the ceilings. If time, start undercoating plenty of woodwork.

I was writing a more serious comment when it reminded me of the time my nan-in-law told us cousin Ellie had had her STD nicked (she meant DVD).

Agreed. I understand the pleasure people took from that fallout yesterday, but it is also very worrying (if not unexpected) that 2 such powerful people would behave like this. They are doing immeasurable harm and the only limit at the moment is themselves.

My god Trump is an utter fool.

Melon can still fuck off. It would be foolish in my view if US Dems were to fall into bed with him now. He is a deeply flawed person with shit morals.

This government so far has been a huge disappointment. Finally, something I can get behind.

It's tragic what's happening to the US. I can't see the damage being undone for many years to come. At least it will be cyclical & sense will prevail eventually.

I mean I agree with the sentiment, but I wouldn't call it a "powerful" advert tbh.
I hope he & his business ventures are always tarnished by his shitty personality & even shittier politics, but I do worry that people have short memories & also act out of economic necessity/expediency.

American government is a lot like our Primary Schools in the UK (4-8yo's).

Jesus fucking christ that's a dangerous message.

Agreed. Trump has no interest in the christian nationalist agenda being carried out, but he escapes prison, accrues wealth, gets to mix with world leaders and generally gains attention. I swear they know how to manage him by now and the whole stupid tariff idea is just to keep him pliant.

Podcast I just listened to (called 'Strong Message Here') with Phil Wang suggesting Farage is the best political communicator in the country atm. It's depressing, but I think he's right.

Not intending to answer for Greg, but related to your question is this thread that I read this morning. It's interesting. The researcher she links to is also worth having a look at. 😃

O ffs. I know that's your point, but seriously? They must realise that comes across as comical/parody. My dad reads the feckn Telegraph. I hope it gets bought by Abu Dhabi.

Cowardly and disgraceful that politicians should hide behind public polling even though they know what is the right thing to do. I detest them. If they claim to be Christian, I hope they burn in hell.

Trump explicitly threatened repercussions if they did not. Now I suppose they have to lean into diverting their constituents attention with culture wars, immigration, communism etc. etc.

I struggle to grasp that reality. I think "he's President of the US, he can't be all that stupid". But I think you're right, he has political talents & confidence beyond belief, but little actual intelligence.

That's pretty shocking. Even if not sanctioned by the Trump admin (and who knows?), at least by extension I feel they should bear some responsibility.
I have lost faith in there being any accountability in the US leadership any more though.

I live equidistant between Nottingham & Derby, 6 miles or so from each. I would suggest it's down to neglect. Our local Primary school for instance has some of the worst funding in the country.

Whenever I see his name it makes me think of his humiliating & toe-curling flirtation with Rula Lenska on celeb big brother whilst pretending to be cat. Someone should project it onto the Kremlin.

We are asking questions here. Chlorinated chicken & hormone injected beef are illegal here & a politician suggested yesterday it will remain so. Apparently we do import some beef from the US, but it is not hormone injected.
I think a severe political backlash would occur if this was changed.

Saw an article saying that 3 large US car manufacturers (incl. Ford) are upset by this. A 10% tariff on 100,000 imported British cars containing zero US parts allows a competitive edge over US brands with factories in Mexico/Canada containing many US parts but paying a 25% tariff.
