I prefer my pizza without tobacco all over it, myself.

I've felt sorry for her since she first ran for the leadership. Doesn't make her either nicer or remotely competent.

2/ I have talked to my family about it; it's the smart thing to do, to avoid their trying to persuade me not to - and they accept the fact that when the time comes I WILL find a way. Families don't have the right to stop their relatives doing what THEY want with THEIR lives.

1/2 Where she's coming from personally is she thinks it means people want her and disabled people like her bumped off. Preferably at birth. But there is NOTHING in the legislation that suggests that; anyone going for assisted dying has to ask for it - and babies and little kids can't.

Yes yes yes yes I am so sick of Liz Carr. Nobody says she has to take that option - but she hasn't the right to deny it to me.

Absolutely. In NO circumstances AT ALL do I want palliative care - even if it were absolutely perfect. It is very important indeed. I don't want to have to do it myself if I get to that point - not least because it would be so unreliable.
I stand with Hilary Jones.

Pity it's done the same for Labour.

What is worse os that they aren't DOING anything. Reeves is hamstrung by her own rules; Starmer is only interested in arguing with Reform, and the good guys like Rayner are just being hamstrung in general.
Vote LibDem; I have been saying that for years.

Oh I KNOW. But it's nice that this far Streeting isn't paid by them. Mind - I was being a bit sarky there anyway.

No, I simply said that several bystanders said that was their impression.

Clearly it was deliberate. That wasn't clear until the correct info was given from those actually investigating. If you recall, wild speculation after Stockport was what caused mass rioting.
comment in response to
post
NOW we have that information. But several bystanders did perceive it differently, as panic and accidental. They were there and were entitled to comment, and I reported what they said. People here weren't, and shouldn't have guessed till info came out.

Someone in a state of panic. Clearly not something a person with your level of empathy could ever understand.

Not defending him, just pointing out that it very likely was not a deliberate act of violence

I am absolutely old enough. And he's absolutely right - it's getting close to the way it was when I was a child. GHASTLY.

And police it in the same way as they police any other incident of this nature.

If you read bystanders' accounts - it begins to look as if he hit someone by accident and when people in a huge crowd started screaming and banging on the car windows he panicked and just put his foot down.

Yes indeed - I am so sick of being embarrassed by fellow Brits who really seem to believe that shouting at people in other countries will make them understand your language. The Great British Sense of Entitlement strikes again.
