Putting aside the plagiarism and awfully uninventive mechanics, what I'm most confused about with #Marathon is its artstyle. Like, I can see that it has one, but what exactly is it? "Placeholder Renderite"? Doesn't that genre live off cosmetics? What do those look like if that's the art pitch?

I've heard it argued that the new #Oblivion is not a remake because "it's still the same game". That argument makes no sense. It doesn't matter what the game IS, only how it was MADE. If large chunks of the original code are still in use, it's a remaster, full stop.
