Important to note that fascism is a fundamentally bourgeois movement that merely mobilizes part of the working class. Plus, the 20s also saw the wake of what society perceived as an apocalyptic event, WW1, so esoteric ideologies were at an all-time high. Financial crises just lit the tinderbox.
