Correct and correct. The light just doesn't make sense.
Before the new sidewalk, it was 2 lines. So one was able to wait to go left while the other straight or right.

i used to live on that corner. It's not that easy. The new widened sidewalk on carnarvon is great, but never used.
On the other side, it forced the street into 1 lane each way, barely wide enough for a bus. And traffic there is a nightmare.
