Same at Monte Cassino. We bombed the monastery, but the Germans moved in after. The rubble made it easier to defend. The Ho Chi Minh Trail took millions of tons and kept moving. At Khe Sanh, the siege held. At Tora Bora, Bin Laden escaped. Firepower alone does not guarantee success.

@adamkinzinger.bsky.social it’s just like the sensational stories a few times a year about interactions between US and Russian military planes. It’s happened a couple times a month for the past 70 years, but the report it like it’s a huge event.
