Russia launched their largest ever missile and drone strike on Ukrainian cities last night and sadly an F-16 and its pilot was lost last night. Russia's finance minister and central bank chief are sounding the alarm that Russia is heading for a sever economic recession unless conditions are changed.

Love this guy: @brianschatz This bill is a real piece of shit it and it would be excellent if that’s all anyone talked about for the next few days. Super interested in your think piece about the NYC mayor’s race but let’s get to that after we try to stop biggest wealth transfer in American history.

Actually what Americans just saw today was a prominent Republican US Senator announce he is quitting because he knows this budget is going to hurt millions of people and he was repeatedly threatened by the president and his cult for telling the truth about it.

Lots of Republicans are going to lose their seats over this budget - federal, state, and local. It will not cost Trump anything, other than finally some House oversight his last 2 years maybe. Which is how these things always go with Trump - others always pay for his sins.

I think it’s a great idea for Republicans to nominate Lara Trump for the open NC senate seat. Just like it was a great idea to nominate Herschel Walker, Dr. Oz, Kelly Loeffler, Kari Lake, Joe Kent, Scott Brown, Mark Robinson, Doug Mastriano, Winsome Sears, Tudor Dixon, on and on.

Amazingly, some news organizations are still using the term "fiscal hawk" to describe Republicans who are professing concern about the Trump bill adding $3.3 trillion to the debt. If those Republicans vote for the bill in the end, *at that point* can we stop calling them that?

Baldwin: I remember my cross-examination of Secretary Kennedy from HHS, and he said, “We will have radical transparency.” But what they’ve actually had is radical opaqueness. They never answer a letter. They never answer a question. It’s one of the ways that democracy begins to degrade—

Yesterday Trump threatens to withhold aid to Israel unless the court reverses their decision to move forward with Netanyahu’s trial. Today Israeli court reverses their decision and postpones it. What a joke.

Republicans want 1.1 *trillion* dollars in cuts to Americans' health care. www.nytimes.com/2025/06/29/u...

Sen. Tommy Tuberville (R-AL): "Again, these inner-city rats, they live off the federal government. And that’s one reason we’re $37 trillion in debt. And it’s time we find these rats and we send them back home, that are living off the American taxpayers, that are working very hard every week”

This is insane. Two teenagers ask Mitch McConnell earnest questions about the BBB’s impacts on climate and he won’t even acknowledge their presence. He walks past them like a zombie. McConnell has no business holding any public office. Shameful. @quadzillahikes.bsky.social (IG)

What kind of heartless ghouls would cut healthcare insurance for destitute Americans by $930 billion AND starve them AND take vital services from their children So they can make a bunch of billionaires richer That’s exactly what Trump and the MAGA Republicans want to do in their Big Ugly Bill

America hates Trump’s “Big Beautiful Bill”

We fought the good fight from emoluments to impeachment to criminal prosecution but Congress failed us and the Supreme Court has been fully complicit. We must keep invoking the lower courts’ fidelity to law but will need massive political mobilization. washingtonmonthly.com/2025/06/27/i...

ICE arrested a 6 year old A 6 year old Are we now “Great Again”

💀 Russia loses 1,220 soldiers over past day

"The whole thing is just a disgrace. A policy disgrace. A moral disgrace. Rural hospitals will close, and working-class people will die so that Trump’s golf buddies can get tax cuts of tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars." https://trib.al/bBYxuas

When ordinary Republicans understand how Trump’s “One Big Beautiful Bill” would affect the after-tax incomes of American families, it turns out they don’t find it beautiful at all. “I was really shocked."

A U.S. Marine veteran and son of a man whose violent arrest went viral, said his father always prioritized he and his two Marine brothers' well-being so that they could "give back to this country."

Tucked into Donald Trump’s “Big, Beautiful” spending bill—which passed in the House last month, and promises major cuts to Medicaid—is a provision to spend $46.5 billion in taxpayer dollars on building his long-promised wall along the US-Mexico border.

U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson called the Republican-appointed majority’s “decision to permit the Executive to violate the Constitution with respect to anyone who has not yet sued … an existential threat to the rule of law.” buff.ly/sKyTXdx

It's incredible that neither the president nor VP was here. The politicization of all facets of American life is coming from the White House. No other American president would have failed to pay their respects. www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2025/...

"These aren’t just your usual, run-of-the-mill GOP tax cuts. They’re worse. They’re the most redistributive tax cuts in modern American history, and by redistributive, I don’t mean from the top down. I mean to the top from the rest of us." https://trib.al/VpbY1JO

Lisa Murkowski cuts a last minute deal solely to benefit Alaska, exempting it from some of the more odious parts of the bill to secure her vote and sell out the rest of the US. Yeah this stuff sucks and hurts a lot of people, but I got Alaskans exempted so the hell with you.

Remember Collins and Murkowski could have stopped this. People who lose healthcare coverage will die because of them

Take your masks off ICE, show us how proud you are adamkinzinger.substack.com/p/why-are-fe...

The Mafia King just threatens anyone in the world who doesn't bend to his will.

After the House Republicans voted to take healthcare from millions of Americans And food from starving children So they can give tax breaks to billionaires Senate Republicans are on the verge of doing the same Don’t EVER tell me the two parties are the same We won’t get over losing Medicaid

This is also true for Tennessee, but Senator @MarshaBlackburn & @SenatorHagerty wouldn’t say this in a million years. #TrumpsTrillionsTransfer

A nice reminder of the immense power contained in saying “no.” When people refuse to comply, it raises the costs ($$$, political, social, etc) of enforcing authoritarianism. They very well might try anyway, but every person that says “no” is another point of friction. www.npr.org/2025/06/28/n...

#TaxTheRich ✅ It’s WAY PAST TIME billionaires pay their “fair” share of taxes! #Pinks You and I pay our taxes, so should they! It’s that simple 💯

They are joking and memeing about the concentration camps they’re building to hold the people from our communities that they are abducting. These are truly evil people.

Really seems like there should be more coverage of the fact that Republicans are about to pass a bill that will cause the biggest spike in utility bills in American history.

Remember: Ds must make this a career-ender for every R who votes for this monstrously cruel bill

Billionaires used to try to hide the fact that they were buying elections, now they write thousand word essays proudly announcing it on social media. Reminder: Nothing that ever helped the working class started with a billionaire buying an election.

GOP Senator Rand Paul: “Once this bill votes, and this debt ceiling goes through, the debt is owned by the GOP, and there is no more campaigning and saying 'This is the Democrats.' It will be owned by the Republicans”

GOP Sen. Thom Tillis says Trump's mega-bill is bad for North Carolina: "This will force the state to make painful decisions like eliminating Medicaid coverage for hundreds of thousands in the expansion population, and even reducing critical services for those in the traditional Medicaid population."

New Senate bill is a fossil fuel feeding frenzy, worse for clean energy than even the House bill, and will dramatically INCREASE people’s utility bills.
