He did and came along to a Computing Science Education Networking event I hosted on Tuesday. Had a great chat with him! He is into his final year of BSc after summer.

I installed KOreader last night. Already slightly happier but need to investigate the news feedback feature a little more.

Thoroughly useful day. Now at Heathrow and processing the pages of notes.

Thanks for the chat and I genuinely hope the students aren't disadvantaged.

And if there *is* value, schools are potentially (at this moment) making these accessible to students in other ways.

No I'd disagree with that. The query here is what additional value can be derived from access to school Teams/OneDrive/OneNote (if used) over other material that hasn't been made inaccessible?

I think that any solution at this point has the potential to miss some students. I'm not really sure how else to respond to this except to ask if and how you would solve this differently?

Agree this is not the fault of students. Also not likely to be the fault of schools involved. Sounds like a corporate security policy reaction to a cyber attack, so the culprits are (a) the hackers and (b) the local authority

Please don't take this the wrong way, but I can't think of something affecting adults to compare this to, sorry. The exam is on Monday and schools have offered students a chance to get new logins. What do you think would be an appropriate response from the schools? Open all day? Saturday and Sunday?
comment in response to post
That's true but I wonder which resources are on Teams/OneDrive for the maths exam on Monday that aren't available elsewhere and haven't already been used/downloaded?
comment in response to post
The window of opportunity is pretty large though and, if they need access to materials, they should be motivated to attend. Some will have downloaded it already or will use other resources e.g. SQA, Achieve, Scholar I'm assuming?

Good that the schools are opening on Saturday to provide students with logins.

Agree. I don't get many follows but I check each one. Luckily only one of my followers on that page when I checked but meant a quick unfollow and block. *Shudder*
