Jane Siberry used to live in my neighbourhood and we would occasionally run into one another at the dog park.
As a result, everything reminds me of her dog.

Not only is there an error when I try to update the stream info, I also have a long list of shoutouts and follows coming from "Unknown User".
Someone just took a tour of the data center and found out what that big red button behind the plastic cover was for.

...so someone saw that, knew that Swen had been talking about doing something that wasn't Fantasy next, and decided that the new game _must_ be Battlestar Galactica. They watched every episode, read every book, and then threw it all away when the announcement about Baldur's Gate finally came. (2/2)

My favourite story about the development of BG3 is that the initial licensing talks were all very hush-hush. Nobody, even at Larian, was allowed to know what property they were talking about. The only hint they had was that Swen Vincke had written down "BG" once... (1/2)

You may want to play Fallout 2 if you want to see more of the intelligent Deathclaws.

I think there would be a danger of the ads being seen as a petty annoyance leading to the app being unleashed upon itself.

Not at all. He was notorious for _takes_. Stating his opinion on things was kindof his whole job. Sometimes he said things that I wouldn't have said, but I don't feel that there's anything inherently bad about disagreeing with me.

It made a bit of a stir back when he first wrote it. You can imagine the kind of people who wouldn't let go. I think he eventually wrote a follow-up called "Okay, kids, you can play on my lawn" where he explained his position and tried to put it all to rest.

Of course, it's far more complex than the "Bad man say bad things about games! Grr!" that many people read it as, and he does make some good points about how he personally considers gaming and cinema to be very different, but he definitely used those words.

Well, he did write an article called "Video games can never be art" and in the first paragraph wrote "I remain convinced that in principle, video games cannot be art", so you can see why quite a few people believe that he did say that.

I'm not sure exactly what that is, but I think it counts as a declaration of war against Quebec.

Ah, Steve Jackson, founder of Games Workshop and Fighting Fantasy.
Not to be confused with Steve Jackson, founder of Steve Jackson Games and author of several Fighting Fantasy books.
He could have used a pen name but both Steves thought it was hilarious so they were both credited as Steve Jackson.

PoE2 has turn based combat but it was added as an afterthought and sometimes gets a bit weird. Both games were designed around real time but you can set it to automatically pause after enough interesting events that it works like turn based.
