Mom to 2 adorable stinkers & married to my 1st husband. Dice AND Book Goblin. Theology nerd. Probably in a super-specific fixation like how The Weimar Republic led to the rise of fascism in pre-WWII Germany. Or something like that.

Sigh. One can only hope. I have a degree in journalism and have seen such a degradation of journalistic integrity even over the past 11 years since I graduated, mostly due to oligarchs with dubious interests buying them all out.

Little, except should still have some form of regulatory body. My biggest issue with a lot of them is what they’re ~not~ publishing vs. what they are. I’ve spent too much time w/ MAGA ppl hurling baseless claims my way with no discernible evidence that I don’t want to be a part of the problem.

Thanks for your response. Do you publish with any news organizations or even on a website?

Does anybody have a source on this? I want to repost, but I always fact check first. Due to lack of reporting on this, I can’t find any sources or context.

Yes! It reads like inspiration porn. It’s icky & condescending. Folks with disabilities are humans with strengths and struggles like everyone else. Unless a disability is a direct barrier to the accomplishment, there’s no reason to mention it as the main focus of the story.

As an American, I want Canadians (and Mexicans and Ukrainians and…) to know that so many of us are so sorry our leadership is treating our allies this way. It is humiliating that it has come to this and horrible the harm that has/is/will be done. I wouldn’t come here either.

Welp. Came here to say this.

Oof. I was not prepared for this. I don't know whether to laugh or cry.
