This year for beach body, I adapted a 4x4x12-5 bodybuilder workout to a bastardized beginners 5x5. 4 exercises per muscle group, 4 sets of 12-15 reps but in the multiple muscle group combos of the 5x5. Eg: chest & biceps. I'm also basically super set(ing) chest/bicep instead of all chest then bicep
