The privilege of being straight is that you never have to look for these symbols. You don’t have to wait for someone to clock you or your partner, and wait to see how they’ll react. It is easy when you’ve had that privilege to eye-roll about symbolism and how unnecessary it feels…

Really enjoying reading the Impact journal with a cup of tea (the joys of slowing down over half term). Great to have a clear recognition of the shift towards adaptive teaching as the most inclusive approach. What should I do with my All/Most/Some and Gold/Silver/Bronze lesson resources now?!

Absolutely nobody asked for this but I reformatted my animal yeetability thread into printable poster & zine files. Introducing, the "Pocket Guide to Responsible & Sustainable Animal YEETING" featuring a revamped rating system. Download links below.

Carl Sagan when asked, "Are you a Socialist?"

"There once was a time. Before television. Before motion pictures. Before radio and books. The greatest part of human existence was spent in such a time. And then, over the dying embers of the campfire, on a moonless night, we watched the stars." - Carl Sagan

A quick and easily adaptable method for getting a heck of a lot of thinking out of one multiple-choice question. 1. Find the correct answer. 2. Do more thinking with all of the incorrect answers. Read more below at the link below. theeffortfuleducator.com/2018/05/15/m... #edusky

Professor Gina Neff of Queen Mary University London told the BBC ChatGPT is "burning through energy", and the data centres used to power it consume more electricity in a year than 117 countries. This is just ChatGPT, not even all Gen AI. Using more electricity than >60% of the world.

Very sad to hear this. Dawn had huge impact on so many of us from the earliest of Edutwitter days until now. My thoughts are with Dawn and her friends and family.

Fascinating graph that I’ve never seen before - govt spending vs tax for age groups from the FT
