Or what happens when you allow unprecedented gaps develop between the rich and poor. Inequity has a whole lot to do with the hubris and the arrogance. These .01%ers don't know what to do with themselves, are bored, and convinced they must own the world.

All done for the audience of one: Trump. No one else matters in their universe.

Since the Senate parliamentarian is a woman, their rage will be uncontained. How DARE SHE?

Fairly simple. Trump is an agent of our mortal enemy.

I guess Natasha Bertrand is doing her job. Good for her.

Yeah, right. More lying. Just wait until they are confirmed. They will do the usual 180 and thumb their nose at Congress.

These are 1%er donors or .01%er donors, who only look after themselves, have no sense of community, and are only interested in scarfing up even more money and power, while the rest of the people suffer and starve. Let's reboot Democratic party from the bottom up, whether they like it or not.

All these Trump women are small vile creatures.

We don't need a new Constitution, we need to tweak it, as founding fathers intended--and we need to have instant enforcement if one or two branches refuse to honor it. Individuals go straight to jail, including enablers. We need to get rid of electoral college, and strengthen voting rights.

Christian overlap would be interesting to see. I read Latino women voted (unusually) for Trump less than Latino men--but yeah, their votes helped put Trump over the top. Must regret that now. As for white women, sick, lost, cynical souls. They calculate Trump would be good for them. Always will.

We sure have. Haven't seen any big balls despite all the posturing, the boasting, and the saber rattling that has been going on. No big balls anywhere to be seen. Just a lot of incredibly brave women standing out there opposing this utter nonsense, stating the obvious: this is all so wrong.

Well, that sounds pretty much like any MAGA screed about Hillary, right there. They would never get the sarcasm.
comment in response to

Obama, of course. MAGA will fall in line behind him. Despite the lack of regime change in Iran, will be declared a huge success, even as our soldiers die in a useless and unnecessary conflict--unless, of course, you count Russia getting a nice jump in oil prices just when they need it to survive.

Definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

And most Libertarians support Trumpism today. Add that in, and it is 84.3% of the population.

Don't underestimate the anger of ignored Cassandras. And pretending they are to blame for being ignored because, well, men just don't listen to women, that just adds to the anger. Their 'weakness' was happening to be female.
comment in response to

It's for women. Women who are dead tired of being the Cassandras and being completely ignored. You conveniently kind of skate by the fact it pictures the two female candidates we put forward who had 10x the skills of the mediocre man they faced, and were rejected. Women won't forget this. Ever.

Yes, the President has taken a massive gamble--on our dime, at our expense. Without Congressional backing. Oopsie.

Anti-LGBTQ messaging is misogyny at its core. MAGA chose to target trans women over men, as nothing is more offensive to a MAGA man than giving up his power willingly to be an inferior woman. They NEED binary, 0-1, clear lines bc they can't disdain women if they could be one underneath it all.

Not a dem, a libertarian, the flip side of the coin Musk and Thiel inhabit on the other side. The same damn story. Same bro boy carelessness. Same misogyny. Same arrogance.
Along with Rogan helped get Trump elected. Good sign he is having regrets and awkwardly trying to walk it back. But too late.

It won't. The road is littered with Republican balls that have been cut off. They have none left.

Seriously, NYTimes? You literally fueled that angry culture yourself by downplaying everything Trump said and did that was outrageous, misogynist, racist or just plain stupid.

It was humiliating watching Powell debase himself--a competent man. Now we watch Lindsey Graham get oddly over-excited at the prospect of war. Not sure what is worse: watching people who should know better, or ones that never knew anything good at all. People are sick in the head.

Does anybody remember Powell swearing Iraq had chemical weapons? Anyone? Bueller? Hello? If Americans are stupid enough to be taken in again, they are lost forever. Come on, MAGA, wake up. You got conned--by a NEW YORK CITY CONMAN! NYC tried to tell you, but noooooooo....

I am extremely disappointed in the crypto bill that so many Dem Senators voted for. That is a back door for massive corruption. No matter what happens to the Big Budget Busting bill, this is the sneaky way too keep the grift going. So disappointed in Dems.

He needs to take down the post. And the Senate MUST expel him. Senator Thune is complicit if he doesn't haul him up for removal. Instead Lee behaves like he is a victim and Thune covers for crass bullying, behavior any Nazi would recognize and celebrate.

They. Don't. Care. Never will. To them, this is a zero sum game and it has devolved into hunting down and killing the opposition. They think it's funny, they get off on violence and fear. Call them out on that, don't assume we can appeal to their better nature. They don't have that capacity.

They are worse than the sinners if they do not--they know better, I know they do. They just don't want to cross their 'family', their 'tribe', their 'kind'. Problem with that, is if they protect the worst among them, they violate their faith.

There are good Christians who follow the best of their humanist teachings and take it seriously, and bad Christians. FWIW, Catholics and Evangelists should also be looking hard at some of their flock. I ask my Catholic friends to stand up in church and condemn their tribe's Opus Dei members.

I remember as a young girl watching Ollie North testify about Iran Contra to Congress, and even though I had no idea what the whole affair was about, the snide contempt and disrespect oozed out of him so strongly against the Congressmen trying to question him, I knew instantly he was a very bad man.
