I am convinced that peanut butter is the perfect food and can talk at length as to why. Short version: it is delicious, shelf-stable, provides a balance of fat, carbs, and protein, and goes sweet or savory equally well.

I have 100% had commander games I would’ve played Blessing of the Priest in. I feel like I’d keep it in each deck, just in case the game goes on too long.

I totally understand your point, though I’d argue that while the status isn’t being changed without the patient’s knowledge (as the original post made it sound), using their position to pressure patients into changing it definitely isn’t consent. They’re certainly different but not wildly so.

Asking for co-authorship credit on something I single-handedly wrote because I was “only a graduate student.” I don’t think the professor who put his name on it ever even read it in its entirety.

As a rule I never watch trailers if I’m planning on seeing the movie, but I watched this one because I needed the hope and optimism. Definitely made the right choice and now I have so many feelings.

I think this soundtrack is the first thing I ever bought on iTunes. It doesn’t get near enough love!

If you ate out less often and bought fewer lattes maybe you could afford to pay the one.

If you haven’t listened to it, please do yourself a favor. It’s one of my all-time favorite songs.

I think it’s because green feels more “other” which fits the alien theme. And black feels cold and hostile in the context of an alien planet. Having green for the Eco makes it feel lush and inviting, which I suspect is the opposite.

Not super recent, but I was playing my Xyris, the Writhing Storm deck. I played out Devilish Valet, wheeled, then swung for 2,097,152 trample damage.

Seeing this in the first act of my day makes me very nervous for the third.

This is not the MTG content I was expecting from you.

Love the insight and couldn’t agree more! Jay’s work completely changed how I think about RPGs. Plus, the fact that the Veteran is a metaphor for addiction (carrying that pain with them, knowing at any time they could use it to make that moment easier, but destroying what they built). Incredible.

The fact that Dracula in Van Helsing and the Duke in Moulin Rouge are the same actor will never cease to blow my mind.

I don’t know. Sounds like it would be structurally sound.

I thought this was a kiwi at first because I couldn’t conceive of someone peeling an avocado like this.

I have a retired family member who says the same the about sexism, despite the fact that she was fired for being pregnant and specifically gave her daughter a gender-ambiguous name to help her on job applications.

Shaw was so good. I wanted so much more of him!
