I’m still in that “burned out disappointment” bit

It’s not even that, it’s corruption. The higher ups in the DNC are bought and paid for by the same billionaires that own the GOP. That’s why it’s so hard for real progressives to make moves in the party. They’d rather be in opposition to Trump than they would have someone like you or Bernie on top.

I love this idea. However I feel Lego may go “it’s time to sell blind bags of cat eyes for 5.99”

He’s not neurodivergent. he’s off his tits on ket on the daily. You really gunna buy into the “it’s not a tweaking he’s just autistic” line?
Maybe us neurodivergents should reclaim the R word, use it to describe permanently online, billionaire dipshits. Could be fun, just saying.

I feel like the plan is to just let an insane member of the public murder him. He will be found not guilty of anything they throw at him and they know it. They’ll cause a massive uproar when he’s let go. And unhinged racists will be at his door with guns for the rest of the poor dudes life.

“Kidnapped and sent to a foreign gulag” is how any journalist with integrity would have phrased it (sadly there aren’t many of those in the states)

True, it’s just going “AAAAA FUCK! IM BEING DRUNK BY A GIANT! OUT OF A JAR! OH, WHAT A CRUEL FATE THE GODS HAVE CHOSEN TO SERVE ME WITH!” Or at least that’s how I imagine the coffee would feel.

Making promises when you don’t know when or how you’re going to fulfil them isn’t fantasy politics though?

If you’re going to share articles to inform your audience, you should pick articles that aren’t behind a £10 paywall, just saying.

Can’t wait till they get there, immediately lose signal, and Elon has essentially spend a few billion sending very expensive and ugly garbage to Mars.

That’s sure to win back all the votes they’ve been haemorrhaging. Honestly, how is it possible to be so out of touch? How on earth do they believe that pandering to selfish Tories and xenophobic nut jobs is the sensible way to keep power? There’s a word for people like that “fuckwits”.

I mean, the backlash is already pretty bad, their polling has tanked. They have to U turn on these nonsense, poor and worker bashing policies and start taxing the people who have been fundamentally dismantling every single good thing it provides its citizens. Tax the rich by targeting their property

Isolated incident refers to the fact it wasn’t part of a larger plot or set of attacks, not how many people were affected by the crime.

Alright my dude, you’re mad that your parents had you, we get it.
comment in response to
post
No sadly some parents don’t, but that isn’t a flaw with the benefits system. that’s a flaw with humans that some parents neglect their kids. Punishing poor people with more than X kids because of the actions of some neglectful parents still doesn’t make any sense, it won’t stop bad parents existing.
comment in response to
post
But a cap would mean that some people who do need it inevitably won’t get it, you can’t assume that everyone with more than 4 kids is somehow trying to cheat the system. That’s what a cap does, it assumes that anyone with more than X kids is doing so because of dishonest intentions.
comment in response to
post
I apologise, I had started replying before I saw the second response, my bad. However I don’t see how it could possibly bring more children into poverty, it would lift many out of it. There was a massive rise in child poverty in the 15 years of Tory government that implemented the cap.
comment in response to
post
Right, and because of this small minority, every single parent and child, who lives in a household with more than 2 kids and need child benefit to get by deserves to be far poorer and will get a far worse start in life. The real way to fix society is to punish people who have more than 2 children.

It’s not even grapey, it’s slightly unpleasant but we get through it for that sociable buzz it gives you. Then you drink too much and before you know it you’re arguing with your family about geopolitics.

Both parties are bought and paid for by the same corporate interests. The money makes the republicans fascists and the democrats and ineffectual opposition to fascism. Would be nice if Americans would wake up to this fact.

25 per cent tariffs it is, it’s not feesable to bring production to the US without making iPhones even more ludicrously expensive.
