I was looking at a water stills/ water distillery online. They are only restricted now if you make moonshine, but check your state.
I think you can make one with pots and bowls, which might be the way I go.
Water purification is certainly covered at the library and they need the foot traffic.

On February 10, 2025, Congressman Jefferson Van Drew (R-NJ-2) introduced H.R. 1178 and it was referred to the House Energy and Commerce Committee, of which I am a member. Rest assured, I will keep your thoughts in mind should this legislation come before the full committee for a vote.

I believe it is important Congress takes a balanced approach to ensure the process is streamlined and without excessive regulatory burdens. We must work towards commonsense reforms that strengthen consumer protection without undermining small business and producer flexibility.

Ok, I slept on this. It's possible they could use goat's milk or make their own jerky, etc. I was oversimplifing.

I'm still on bottled water (the horror). I cook 95% from scratch with carefully curated exceptions. Carrageenan doesn't wash off easily from the research I read. One of its selling points.

Thanks. I'll check it out.

I'm willing to bet it has carrageenan in it. They use it to plump up fish and veggies along with a million other things. It's a sure way to ruin some perfectly fine vegan ice cream too. I hope there is someone to help your friend get other food. That's one of my worst fears.

The scientific method with close observations saves lives. Interesting things to study about if we didn't have to be case studies.

Meaning that if it's declared on an ingredient they use, they just need to list it on their product too, right?

3. And I just spent two months and countless exposures trying to find a safe medication. Amazing how fast inflammation will subside when you finally stop injesting poisonous anti-inflammatory meds.
Thank you for listening. Still frustrated, but I feel heard.

2. And even if you eat 100% whole fresh foods, you never know when the carrots or fish have been sprayed with carrageenan as a processing aid. Or butter was used as a defoamer in syrup. Or the water was filtered through bone char.

1. Shouting about the law passing or about me getting smarter. 😉 We already have to be smart about it, and there are those who can't and die. We need a label because they rename things every time we catch on.

Small businesses know what they put in their products and don't mind listing it. It's quite often the selling point.

Can we just label alpha-gal already? But then, I still need confidence that it's right. Like inspections and enforced rules. My own rep said he'd consider it, but it had to be balanced with small business needs. Nice to know where my actual life ranks.
