All im saying is you have to look at things objectively.

Actually that's the problem. We shouldn't judge it based on how we're doing. We should base it based on how IT is doing. We should be taking ourselves out of the equation.

One reason is that rent is so out of control and the real estate market is so under regulated that we often think the economy is doing worst than it is. The reality is we're over paying so much on rent that we never seem to get ahead, even when non farm pay rolls are up and unemployment is down.

We need to have a conversation with our friends, family and neighbors about how we measure the economy. Because the economy was doing really well under Biden and the democrats. And nobody knew it. This happens a lot in our country, over the decades. We're not taught how to look at it.

Yeah but it's a big city right? Salt Lake? Did Trump win Salt Lake? It's possible. But I think if we started seeing this in rural communities it would be a better sign.

question ... Harvard is a pretty big school right? Why are they getting any grants at all?

ALL republicans think it's acceptable. there's no such thing as a good republican. Even if they wouldn't do it ... they're still voting for a guy who does it. They'll still accept it if it furthers their agenda.

I'd argue that it wasnt ever about the economy or eggs or anything else. Just hatred. Republicans are very bad people and they voted for trump because they wanted to hurt as many people as possible. Thats all any of this has ever been about.

Know any good brands that are anti republican? Meaning that they dont support them financially? And/or they're not publically traded? Let us know about them! Did we get Jarritos wrong? Let us know about that. Fuck Republicans!

America and Russia are now on the same side. which means China will follow shortly. Democracy falls on Europe now. Sad state of affairs but it's true.

Thank you for expressing real emotions and unfeigned feelings. Reminding us of the importance of being there for one another. That we are all One. Only as such can we fight the fight.

the answer is almost always racism or sexism.

Ending racism is very political. Thats what politics are. Good vs. Evil.

You need when it comes to executing an action. I think if you tell someone to do something ... you gotta have an event planned for them.

Having been politically active for only a month ... i can tell you one of the biggest barriers to entry i see is advice or instruction with no direct action. A lot of groups tell you what to do without doing it themselves. Thats hard to follow through on. Experiance is the number one thing

I wonder what the agenda is gonna be. I'm down. Been working with the Socialist Alternative a little bit. Hope to get involved with Rise and Resist next week too. I feel strangely optimistic about what this community can do.

I was reading about the costco story from peoples power united. I like stories like this buy in because it shows a sense of occasion. And i think thats what is missing from a lot of political activism. Not just telling people how to do things, but doing it with them.

Saturday I witnessed your poignant fervor for fueling positive energy. Reminding everyone the pivotal necessity to stand up in the face of adversity and injustice and the power that is in being united in the fight. Thank you. I'll be seeing out there. #resist # Theredmemorial

Was wondering if there was a way to get the full list of organizations that had speakers in Foley Square? I was particularly interested in 3 of them. I think I found the Socialist Alternative website but wanted to double check and make sure I had the right one. I understand there's a meeting soon

We want to build a community of people who put the names and faces of good people in the minds of voters in 2026.

We believe that if more people knew about Brian, about the guts he had and the position that Fascist Republicans put him in on January 6th, then many wouldn’t have voted for Fascism in November. They would have known it for what it was.
comment in response to post
If you hear someone praising a republican, tell them about Brian’s story. Tell Brian’s story to someone who might not know it.

What can we do to use his legacy to empower people instead of giving Fascist Republicans another win? We can fight against Republicans whenever and however we can. We can join local Indivisible groups or any group committed to saving our democracy and getting liberals and progressives elected.
comment in response to post
But Fascist Republicans don’t think about things like that. Even if Brian had survived January 6th he would still be a living example of what Fascist Republicans do. They commit acts of cruelty. What can we do to honor and remember Brian?
