The Gulf states are obvious examples - but we've also seen countries like El Salvador and Rwanda develop models of governance influenced by the East Asian autocracies that are now proving very influential themselves.
Including on the UK/US radical right. Putting democracy at risk here too.

That’s Brexit! The real reason most Brexiters voted to leave was they wanted fewer brown people in Britain. The Brexit elites knew this would happen. Their prize was deregulation and to avoid EU moves to clamp down on tax havens. It’s always about money!
