To be clear: this post is not to be construed as me defending Trump, his abomination of an administration, MAGA, or the current state of affairs. I believe truth is the absolute most important thing we must abide & cherish in times like these. Fear-mongering is not truth: it's damaging. 💙

And here's a screenshot of its response just before I re-prompted for the above response, in which it lists some of the points that ARE actually in the bill. If you want details of those points, just use the link to carry on the conversation from there, in your chat: chatgpt.com/share/683df2...

The last 2 claims/screenshots, plus the nice little table at the end (sorry it looks wonky, I had to stitch two screenshots together). chatgpt.com/share/683df2...

The next 4 claims / screenshots chatgpt.com/share/683df2... Above is the link to the full chat; it's not long. These screenshots are of its last response, after I prompted it to include an analysis of the bill based on not JUST the literal language, but also plausible interpretations.

So, I uploaded the image & the entire H.R.1 bill to ChatGPT & asked it "Are all these points actually in this H.R.1 bill? Are they accurate/could they be construed as plausible?" Verdict: ½ are false, ¼ are misleading, 1 is partially true, and the last is fully true: chatgpt.com/share/683df2...

If the Senate passes this abomination of a bill, we will have 3 major problems: 1) the poor dying from lack of healthcare and food 2) the largest upward transfer of wealth in American history 3) Trump as DICTATOR KING. CALL. YOUR. SENATORS. *ESPECIALLY* if you're in a Republican state!!! #SOS

In case you didn't know: Destroying Medicaid and SNAP (food stamps) isn't the worst thing that this Big Bullshit Bill does. And I say that as someone on Medicaid. No, the worst thing it does is it solidifies Trump as dictator by preventing the courts from having ANY recourse to stop him. None.

You're amazing, I hope you know that every day! Thank you for the work you do -- within your community and without. 💙

This is a *fantastic* and cohesive gameplan, and I'm pissed it doesn't have more eyeballs on it. I'm going to call my legislators tomorrow and give it to them, crediting you of course. Maybe they can pass the idea along. This is the most actionable plan for CHANGE I've seen yet.

Ok this is hilarious. It came to my eyes right after some terrifying conversations about the current American political nightmare, so I'm also very grateful for this. Literary eye bleach 💙

You're *absolutely* right, my mistake! And a callous mistake, at that -- I apologize.

"illiterate man with diarrhea in his skull" made me laugh -- thank you for that 😌 Out of curiosity, who do you believe is/are the biggest threat to... err, everything good? Who is the driving force, the mastermind, the villain in this awful nightmare?

I believe Vought will be multitudes worse and more damaging to America than Musk was. At least he's not the richest asshole in the world, I guess? I'm sorry, I might be catastrophizing; I have a tendency to do that. I'm just scared.

other people & groups who helped write P2025 though: • Kevin Roberts (Pres. of the Heritage Foundation & mastermind of P2025) • Russel Vought (big role in drafting P2025, now replacing Musk(!!!)) • Paul Dans (led P2025) to name a few of the worst. w/ Vought taking over DOGE, I'm terrified.

I really, wholeheartedly hope you're right! Yeah, I suppose since being delusional makes one out of touch with reality, even if one is intelligent, one can't utilize that intelligence with a loose grasp of reality, so... I think you're right, and that gives me more hope. I'm still worried about the

Yup, The American Way has been goose-stepping and wearing swastikas for a long time: wrapped up in the American flag, but just under that is the Nazi uniform.

Yes. We *absolutely NEED* Nuremburg-esque Trials for MAGA. Before civil or world war. I hope more Liberals step up to the political plate to oust the neutered Moderate Democrats. I feel Liberals would be more inclined to dole harsher, fairer sentences for MAGA's crimes.

Not Sansei (mom is Japanese and the first in her family to come to America, so my family didn't experience the war from America), but same here -- as soon as they started spouting about rounding up "illegals" in "detention centers" that 1st term, the alarms were ringing in my head. Fuck MAGA.

America is outsourcing its first Holocaust -- as is the American Way.

I don't know why this is so hard to understand. Having ICE stormtroopers decide who is an illegal alien and deporting them, is like the cops deciding you are a criminal and sentencing you to 10 years in prison on the spot.
comment in response to post
Holy shit, I had no idea you actually experienced those atrocious "internment camps". I was in high school when I learned about them -- as an American-born half-Japanese girl. I am so sorry you and your family experienced that, Takei-san. I can't believe America is doing it again.

FORCE them to make that decision! But they won't have to wrangle that decision unless people like yourself and your neighbors call your Republican legislators. Just remember to leave your full name and street address during every call, so they know you're a constituent and will tally your opinion!
comment in response to post
What Mayr said; but also, call your Republican congresspeople too!!! *Especially* them! When they receive more calls demanding a "liberal action" than a "MAGA action", they will be forced to choose to either do their job the way they swore to, or forsake that and betray their constituents.

We must* root out all of MAGA
comment in response to post
Look no further than 1941-42 Germany... I'm honestly extremely fucking scared that the next Holocaust has already started, but we don't know about it yet because it's being outsourced to El Salvador. But yeah, just removing Trump won't work. We just root out all of MAGA or it won't end.

Unfortunately, they aren't just dead in the water -- they've got actually seemingly intelligent and organized (but horrifically evil) people like Stephen Miller & the people who actually wrote Project 2025. If it were just a bunch of DJTs, I'd fully agree with you. But all this is very calculated.

"It's offensive to people" I feel like Musk crossed that line much further back in time than "that time he attempted to buy the Wisconsin Supreme Court"
