Well actually maybe @baselinebot.bsky.social is what I’m looking for. We’ll see how the project pans out

I follow @intenttoship.dev for that reason but would love to know when features become widely available.

Got me thinking about @willsmith.fun's newsletter. Curious what exact mechanism cause enshittifaction in orgs, and examples of orgs that have avoided the pressure.

Reliance on analog interfaces as mentioned with audio jacks would be key. The interoperability of analog audio gear feels so powerful when piecing together a system, and I think computing could advance a lot in that regard.

Enjoyed the article! Sheer number of units is probably a big advantage, plenty of replacement parts and documentation.

I enjoyed the vid, I think you did a good job explaining the parts you like, while also not hiding the circumstances or your trepidations 👍

So far its going great, @blender.org and @openscad.bsky.social have been and absolute joy. What most people think of a "quality" in software is actually just familiarity, so why not get familiar with things I can own.

As I dig in 3D printing, I’m making a concentrated effort to only work with free and open source software as much as possible so that I can avoid that loss of *personal utility* because I never had ownership in the first place

Very nice! OSS + BYOS is an easy sell, even if I don't *actually* need it.
