Schrödinger's Immigrant: simultaneously coming here to thieve *and* to take our jobs.

I think he’s right to say Trump is a different person. He’s trying to point out mental decline. That is important. Sure, Trump is still a dangerous imbecile, but he’s clearly losing his mind.

That would do wonders for the trustworthiness of the US.

I wonder who made Gaza uninhabitable? It’s a complete mystery…

By that reasoning, because of the weakness of Trump, Putin hasn’t withdrawn from Ukraine.

Funny how you, presumably, you haven’t studied the history of political protest.

Harris saw it coming. Some people wouldn’t listen.

Once AI is ubiquitous (which won’t be long at this rate) new apps which explicitly don’t use AI will be the winners. Like millions of other people, I’ve already had enough of AI and would gladly abandon all this Microsoft paperclip on steroids BS.

Totally agree. Symbolism in times like these is critically important.

Absolutely.

I said it yesterday and I’ll say it again, the symbolism of a crowd of people waving the US flag while being confronted/attacked by the US national guard is way more effective than waving the Mexican flag. I don’t know why this isn’t obvious to some people.

True!

To stop cakes/pastries sliding off the plate, I would imagine. There’s a bit more friction on a plate from a napkin than, say, a croissant.

To think the US could have had Harris and none of this madness. Now it’s debatable whether the US will get another chance to correct the mistake.
comment in response to post
I’m not American, but it seems obvious to me that if people want to infuriate Trump and MAGA, they should wave the US flag. The symbolism of the national guard confronting/attacking people with US flags is *far* more effective in the battle against fascism than people waving Mexican flags.

And never has it felt more relevant to the US.

Why is Trump commemorating D-Day? His side lost.

If I was Musk, I would avoid flying for a while.

The answer to that one should have been obvious.

This is so unhinged.

‘ MORE!!!’ is what Musk is currently shouting at his ketamine dealer.

We all need to be careful what we wish for. Vance would be even worse.

For me, this is like watching Man Utd v Man City - I want it to be a good battle, but I want both sides to lose.
