Well it’s been a sad news day all around, ending for me with Alasdair MacInytre’s passing. Many will name After Virtue as his greatest work, but Dependent Rational Animals did far more to sharpen my thinking about what virtue is, and the roots of it that Aristotle could not see. RIP A.M.
