I dunno, it seems to be their entire thing. I should know better but sometimes I respond in spite of myself.

The OP was asking about song soundtracks though - not original scores.

I have an enduring affectation for INTO THE NIGHT, even though it’s not a very good movie. AFTER HOURS is definitely in the mix for one of the coming dream-movie sessions. Hadn’t really considered MIRACLE MILE - will now though! 🙏🏻

You’d think Marty would be the ego because he’s the protagonist — but then you realize that BTTF is one of those rare movies in which the main character doesn’t actually change at all. He just alters the world around him so it’s more pleasant for him.

I realized today that the easiest way for me to explain Freudian dream logic is (again) BACK TO THE FUTURE: Biff is the id, George is the ego and Marty the superego.

Not for this week. I’ll talk a bit about Inception in the last week of the course.

Overwhelmed by the size of this crowd. And nothing but good vibes. For a few hours, we get to feel a little bit of collective hope.

Proud to be here with my mom, who is carrying the same sign she used to protest the Vietnam war before I was even born. 💜

That is part of the reason why I haven’t been going to as many demonstrations as I could have. But today, I will hold off despair and embrace the optimism of the crowd.

My sense remains that politicians wildly underestimate the degree to which voters care about the Palestinian genocide.

The vast majority of people I’m seeing here don’t look like activists or regular protestors: just tens of thousands of regular folks who have a basic sense of common decency and came out to show they want the slaughter to end.

I strongly doubt that “hand-painted style” means it was actually traditionally animated.

Mijn grootste spijt heb ik nog steeds van het feit dat die toernee helemaal aan me voorbij is gegaan. De film kijk ik nog steeds zeker twee keer per jaar.

Cheapest seats in the Amsterdam venue were 100 euro — I spent 140 myself on a third-row center aisle ticket.

One of my greatest regrets is having missed his American Utopia tour. I must have watched Spike Lee's incredible movie of that show a dozen times by now.
