The corticosteroid injections barely did anything, so now I've been referred to a specialist (Xpert Clinics). The appointment is next week so at least it's fast. I'm pretty fucking sick of not being able to do the things that bring me joy, so.... I hope they can help.

saw my GP today and approved to get anti-inflammatory injections in both my wrists for de Quervain treatment. This can only happen one hand at a time and side-effects may include anxiety, depression and hyperactivity. It'll take 2 to 4 weeks for the treatment to run its course and hopefully heal.

And today I may have saved a bumblebee queen from my cat (who is an avid yet merciful hunter it seems)! She flew in making a lot of noise and my cat got to her first. When I went to pick her up with a tissue (and seeing she was huge compared to a normal bumblebee) she began to move!
