On the subject of Greyscale, he’s recently materialised from the 3D printer - needs sanding, priming and painting but I’m very happy with this little figure

Of course! Was trying to keep it vague, apologies to anyone reading if I was too specific

For me some of the best bits were the little character subplots - Dylan & Gretchen’s story was a really interesting development of the severed dynamic and its implications

Thanks, there’s so much to take in, but not been this excited about creating & model making since I first learnt moulding/casting as teen. Not taken it below 0.2 yet so a lot more visible grain, but enjoying the puzzle of angling prints to work with it rather than against - been dreaming in layers

really smooth looking details, what layer thickness are you printing at? (Apologies if I’m bombarding with questions - total 3D printing hyper fixation at the moment)

Going down a rabbit hole of realising/remembering he actually has directed quite a few of his own popular vehicles - seems he has definitely matured as a directorial voice

Yeah, it’s got a level of nuance and sophistication I would never credit him with from his acting alone (not a major hater but not really my bag)

I mean Ben Stiller being behind the camera on Severence - not a big fan of him as an actor so a lot of dissonance finding season one so so good (very much enjoying season two but reserving absolute judgement till it’s run it’s course)

Try going to edit mode, hitting ‘a’ to select all, then doing mesh/normals/recalculate outside - might sort out the dickhole!

Yeah I looked it up recently & it was eye-watering. Looks like a really crisp finish your getting - who needs an extortionate subscription?!

Is this using the sculpting brushes in blender, or is it Zbrush?
comment in response to
post
Yeah it’s a pretty steep curve - I need to sculpt in a neutral pose to get the proportions right (and it’s a hang up from animating) but then not always the most interesting pose for a print. your model looks great though, and miles ahead of what I can do with materials/lighting & rendering!

are you rigging in blender do you can pose before printing? Just been battling that myself, lots of weird things happening - have made some good progress chopping up figures to print in pieces to optimise print quality then re assembling/filling and priming

Enjoy! 3D printing is so much fun. Got mine a couple of weeks ago & now Obsessed with making new models just to print them - can’t work fast enough

As someone who is more comfortable communicating with pictures the photo posting has totally thrown me out! Just need to step out of my comfort zone I think
