On the upside, Trump now has the kind of loser stink he can't wash off. Everyone negotiating with him on his 90 deals knows he's a loser. Foreign leaders know he's a loser. The military knows he's a loser. Our job is to hammer it home at every chance: Trump is a loser.

Sure. That’s the gradation. But even if they were less driven by evil than some explicit bigot in a red cap, they still knowingly chose evil.

Did they not know about any of those things, or of any of the countless other, similarly evil examples?
The plain fact, horrifying as it might be, is that all of them knew exactly what they were voting for. There are gradations among them, but all Trump voters are MAGA.

What if I'm not famous, though? What if I'm 1960s Chicago White Sox pitcher Joe Horlen, with a career ERA of 3.11? Would it be more evil or less so to bat the baby in that case?

He had a three-year-old baby at the time to whom he (cryptically) dedicated the album, a few cuts of which were aimed at her, or at tots in general. It doesn’t mean the album was successful even on that basis, but he certainly didn’t set out to create a masterpiece,

"...I suppose." Sigh.
I haven't read the piece, but my strong guess is that she doesn't say who has made these "accusations" against Mamdani, or even characterize them or where they came from.

Well, one reason is the fact that a whole bunch of media outlets spent years telling us that all ideas and opinions are equally valid. And several of them employ people whose main purpose is to disseminate nonsense and vileness.

They’ll add charges. They just needed to book him on something right away so they can keep him while they finish the investigation.

They won’t do better until people stop supporting them. A constant, gushing river of this crap over a decade hasn’t been enough to convince you?

Yeah. My point was just that a law mandating uniforms has no relation to an assassination was carried out by somebody wearing a uniform. Naming it after her would make no sense.

Such a law would be great, but wasn't this guy dressed up as a cop?

Hence my observation.
But it's also pushed by many outside the party. Reactionary-centrist pundits, "populist" lefties, and even large numbers of mainstream liberals.

The retort to this is often "But it's not MAGA we must reach, it's regular people who voted for Trump [because of eggs or whatever]." Which I concede: the strategy is to find people who are diametrically opposed as well as those who are at a 170-degree angle from you.
