If it wasn’t for bad faith, this administration wouldn’t have any faith at all. Sister Rosetta Tharpe invented rock and roll.

I saw TV On The Radio open for Janna Hunter. I had never heard of them and I’ve been in love with them ever since. Just amazing from day one.

I saw this show in Philly at the TLA. No one knew who Nine Inch Nails were and they were listed as NIN. The crowd was up and shaking their heads from the opening song. Just phenomenal show. They blew Peter Murphy off the stage.

I saw the play at St Ann’s Warehouse and it was also excellent.

Chesapeake is the 2nd biggest city in the Virginia and one of the country’s 100 most populous. It’s purple: many Rs elected locally, but went for Harris, Biden, and Obama 2X. It has a sheriff election right now. No Democrat is running so far. No independent either. boltsmag.org/sheriff-elec...

Biden ended a “forever war” and and enacted the biggest climate change bill in history.

I often wondered if Stephen King took the name “Richard Bachman” because of Richard Bach.

what’s depressing is that “Trump throws a temper tantrum and takes away Elon’s toys” is a much more realistic scenario for how Elon loses access to the federal money spigot than “Dems actually treat him like the political enemy he is when they regain power”

Senate Democrats should be looking to file amendments to this big ugly bill that should propose massive cuts targeting Elon's companies. There will never be better opportunity to open up this divide among the worst people.

Yup. There were a lot of complaints about how the country was broken up. It was the pancake/waffles post. The film is just not about that.

Watch his West Point graduation speech from 5 years ago. There’s clear decline. A lot of loss.

I am not defending Yglesias here. I think his advice is amoral. I will say that what he’s describing is what Trump did. Trump disavowed project 2025. He kept the conversation focused on immigration, his strongest issue. After getting elected he’s doing project 2025 and claiming a mandate.
