Someone was mentioning that they can even be used maliciously. For example, if a bunch of people were to block a politician or politically-aligned account.

Or really, the texture itself could be the weights? Kind of like an ID texture that's use in substance? If you have a high resolution map that has all unique colors (and likely bitmap or png), it should be possible to use each pixel as a mask or LUT to transfer soure colors to destination colors?

Because really, once you get the bake down for one model to another, there's no reason you can't do that again for any other texture. So surely there's some way to bake the "blueprint" (I'd call it) of the bake transfer and use it on any texture. You know?

My idea is to find some way to capture that raycast information and use 3D space to approximate translations of verts. Kind of like weight paint transfer. In my head, it would translate one vertex from the source into an approximate weight value across multiple vertices on the destination.

Is it weird that < £3m seems like a bargain?

I have no idea if I'm ever going to be able to actually make that software, but I'm putting that out there for anyone that wants to take up the challenge. I feel like this would help the community a lot.

Off a quick estimate, it could be remade within 400-500 tris and look identical at every distance *except* within a few cm, which is less than 0.1% of the time people are in VR.

Damn, I'm sorry to hear that. Keep us updated. I'm sure people would be happy to help you out. I don't have much extra money but surely there's some options to resolve this.

Oh fuck, damn. Is there any chance you can still get insurance and file it through them? Surely there has to be some sort of timing-based exceptions they can make.

Apparently insurance usually covers this bill?

It's just so demotivating when I know that I'm capable of doing good work, but no one's willing to give me a chance unless I get in through nepotism or by having really good friendships with people. Work should be based on skill and commitment, not friends.

Sorry if this is a little bit too honest, but these are feelings that have that that I've had for a while. It's what's contributed to me having 4 years of unemployment. I had applied to hundreds of jobs and never really got much more than a few interviews.

I feel like I've had similar issues at some point. Unity importing images is kind of a gamble it seems.

It's like they're playing a really shitty game of Risk and not thinking about the billions of people on the planet that are citizens

I've kind of accepted at this point that the public facing government is just a facade and real democracy doesn't exist. Like, we do vote for presidents and whatever, but on the State/Federal level, there are people pulling strings. It's all one side.

Maybe! A pattern I've observed and still am trying to figure out is that I can often sleep very quickly and soundly when I feel like I was productive during the day. If I am not productive, it's harder to sleep.

I remember watching a video where someone suggested laying in your bed with no stimulus in order to be more productive. Your brain gets so exhausted of doing nothing that it wants to do something. I imagine this is the same, where your brain goes into creative overdrive cuz it can't let it out.
