The central premise of that movie is scientifically offensive to a degree that I cannot suspend my disbelief.

Looks like it to me

I also like how when Utah passed a law saying government buildings are only allowed to fly official flags, Salt Lake City simply passed a law making the Pride flag an official city flag.

I'm still convinced that if (hopefully when) it does happen, Danny Ocean will turn out to not really be dead.

I might go with Inside Man.

That was about my take on it too. It's certainly not a bad movie, it's just not particularly great either. I saw someone else call it "a thoroughly serviceable action flick."

Wouldn't even be the first time people got butthurt about a brown Hermione.

I don't think he's their cousin? Been awhile since I've watched it though.

Sounds like a good trans bar.

The first thing I always do after setting up a new computer is disable OneDrive entirely. It's awful.

I find myself curious as to what would happen to Lilith if Elith dies... (The answer presumably being some form of "read and find out", of course)

Nailed it.

But importing fewer goods means we're making more money, or some bullshit like that.

A shocking number of self-described Manly Alpha Males sure seem to think so.

Beyond that, the term is frequently used to just mean "I don't like this character so I'm going to say 'Mary Sue' rather than engage in meaningful analysis." Even for characters in official works!

I mean, it's objectively true. May as well ask for someone to prove that water isn't wet.

Like ending Rise of Skywalker with Rey burying Luke and Leia's lightsabers on Tatooine. The planet he wanted nothing more than to leave, and where her only memories are of being Jabba's sex slave, and God knows why either of them would ever have mentioned the planet to Rey at all.

Judging from what some of my other friends have said, I suppose you can also look forward to a lifetime of being asked to take pregnancy tests before every major medical exam.

There's a story I heard about an admin who'd automated the entire system so he basically checked in for an hour in the morning, fixed what needed fixing, and spent the rest of the day just hanging around the office. They thought he did nothing, and fired him, and had to hire 3 people to replace him.

If there's anything ICE does that's critical, CBP can (and should) be doing it instead.

...And a weak man's idea of a strong man.

Much better proportioned though.

It kind of looks like a younger Hayden Christensen.

Best explanation I've seen is that Jon Voight tried to encourage him to give tax breaks to people making movies domestically, because other countries do it and the industry has long wanted the same thing here. And Trump, being Trump, decided the solution was "tariffs on foreign movie making."

Technically, Congress would have to impeach him. The 25th Amendment can only be invoked by the VP and cabinet (it's also inherently temporary, as it only lasts until the president tells Congress that he's able to do the job again unless the VP and cabinet insist otherwise).

Hey, if I can't give you a hard time about video game references, who can? :P

The Dead Sea was from Chrono *Cross*. It was just referencing Chrono Trigger.

I visited a church once on a day they were baptizing a new baby. The couple, introducing her, said she was named after the city where she was conceived on their honeymoon. It really was about this awkward for everyone around me.

End the day with Stardust to throw some Captain Shakespeare into the mix.

As someone who actually enjoyed the Ben Affleck Daredevil, my recollection is that Elektra was hot garbage.

It's not nearly as bad as most people say.

Which is, of course, still a lot of them.

Their natural behavior is to make nests on tall cliffs and hunt other birds. And what are skyscrapers but artificial cliffs?

So there was an issue with the previous site in that it failed to differentiate between different comics on different dates with the same name, making it difficult to read old stuff. Just wanted to bring it up so it can hopefully be avoided for the new one.

Honestly, I think his final work was just well before its time.

I've still got a (digital) copy of the picture your ex drew of my druid's awakened bear wearing dragonscale armor, too.
