First run since my groin went pop…not a long run but very beautiful out in the scenery and no twinges…so all in all a great success

Day 86 of #The100DayProject... more flowers and bokeh effect...

Starvation - a public relations problem.

Day 85 of #The100DayProject and a return to the theme from the first week...For 2 reasons...Firstly because I think my photofraphy has improved a great deal since week 1, and secondly, because in late winter there were almost no flowers to photograph and now there's a cornucopia of delights

10 years on it’s the same people saying the same things in the same papers…despite all evidence to the contrary…

Anyone else reading this to the tune of the only fools and horses closing theme… bush bush bush bush bush bush bush, no income tax no vat…

I absolutely refuse…

The “adults in charge” are hilariously bad at this…

A curously un-batshit mental Eurovision this year…maybe I have finally become institutionalised but I kinda enjoyed quite a lot of those songs as songs rather than as insane flamboyant curiosities…

Day 84 of #The100DayProject... this is Archie, Archie has all the personality and is fabulous

This doesn't seem overly surprising. I am seeing people saying it's positively helped with straightforward code or learning how to use software, but it feels most Ai users are having to do serious work checking any AI output, or even getting it to produce what they need in the first place.

Today is International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia and Transphobia. When the UK has slipped from the best country in Europe for LGBTQ+ rights to 22nd place, it’s more important than ever to be united in this fight.

Kind of amazing how nakedly dishonest are Wes Streeting's lot when it comes to suppressing data on young people taking their own lives in consequence of the withdrawal of gender affirming care. 🤯🧵

Teaching A level Mathematics (TAM) is back this new academic year! It will consist of 6 in-person study days spread throughout the year, a formative lesson observation and access to course-specific teaching and learning resources. Apply now

Day 83 of #the100DayProject... look at this ridiculously, brilliantly fluffy guy!

Just seen that ICTMT (International Conference on Technology in Mathematics Teaching) is coming to London in October: ictmt17.org.uk/access-to-smp/

Day 82 of #The100DayProject and this one is definitely not my best effort! a little blured and the 50mm lens isn't great for this sort of middle distance...plus the focus is slightly off.

😂😂😂 Nice to see there’s life in the old meme yet…

Day 81 of #The100DayProject and I met this guy...like me he was excited to see the cows have returned to midsummer common...

Day 80 of #The100DayProject and today I tried composing a longer shot... what is the collective noun for a group of men hanging out in a field while their dogs play?

When “woke” is under attack we should grasp more tightly to solidaristic political action founded on a recognition that what divides us materially can unite us politically. A project in which universalism is not an imposition to fall in line with, but a goal to struggle towards.

Hey Siri…what is “soft power”? Hey sure…how come china’s diplomatic influence is increasing all over the world? Hey siri…why are Labour apeing Trump and isolating the UK rather than taking advantage of the diplomatic void left by President Wotsit?

What an absolute triumph of messaging 👌 These people took over the Labour Party claiming to be the professionals and the slick communicators and we are now at “look we didn’t mean to sound like racists, it was an accident, some of our best friends…”

I mean it’s not rocket science, he is a moral vacuum who says whatever he needs to to curry favour with whatever the current target audience is that he thinks will advance his personal ambition… He did not believe what he said in the past, he doesn’t believe what he said today, he’s just a con man

Day 79 of #The100DayProject and today I met this guy, who it turns out is a bit of a hero...he's a former therapy dog who spent his time supporting people in intensive care wards. And he's super cute too!

Labour’s new immigration package is exactly the same as trump’s insane tariff blitz…it’s policy designed for a world that doesn’t exist. Yes it may be possible to move to an economic model where growth isn’t tied to immigration but lots of work needs to be done to get there before you can cut visas

Fml I hate how stupid people are 😰

When will Starmer learn that no matter how good his Nigel Farage impression gets, it won't save him from wipeout at the hands of Reform? Here's another idea - how about doing the work that's needed to actually make people's lives better? 🧵

Badenoch: Bad Enoch Starmer: Dull Enoch Farage: Full-fat Enoch What a bleak menu of mainstream political leaders… It’s almost enough to make the Lib Dem’s look tolerable again… (But also…consider voting none of the above & supporting green or independent candidates that are actually progressive)

Day 78 of #The100DayProject... spotted this guy chilling in the woodpile on top of a canal boat

Day 77 of #The100DayProject... A bit of astrophotgraphy...taken outside the front of my house looking straight up with various streetlights etc. around... still managed to capture a lot of detail though. I think I also captured a couple of meteors although I didn't spot them with my eyes...

day 76 of #The100DayProject and another long exposure. I think this has been my favourite week so far and I'm really starting to feel like I have more control of the camera settings

The closing date for these vacancies is Monday ...

The deadline for this is midnight tonight BST. I *cannot* tell you how excited I have been to receive the extraordinary and creative proposals I have in so far- please consider adding yours! Please share with #math #maths and #art #arts peeps!

Day 75 of #The100DayProject and officially 3/4 of the way through, I'm amazed I've kept it going this long!. Today's shot is a 5 second exposure on a tripod to try and capture some movement and light trails...

It is insane to me that we can now observe the sky in a resolution that means we can blot out the star and see the planets orbiting by the reflected light… it seems such a short time since we had no evidence that any other star had planets and now we have direct images! Incredible!

Had an experience recently with a very computer literate friend using it for work and knowing nothing at all about the error rate, to the point where he didn't believe me and was then quietly horrified when he checked the work. People just don't know.

Day 74 of #The100DayProject... another experiment today, this time, can I photo a street lamp and not overexpose the image...I would say this one is a success...
