Best case: stagflation followed by impeachment and economic recovery. Worse case: depression followed by engineered emergency and fascist takeover. Stakes as high as they come.

Asset. “Agent” gives him way too much credit. 😑

The White House is encouraging this because it’s distracting from all the other bullshit. Either way, they’ll eventually blame one (or both) of them for the suffering of American people, and Teflon Don will yet again make his magat base think he’s a genius.

Let me step back and explain this a bit. I'm a habeas expert. A habeas petition can only be filed in the federal district where the petitioner is at the moment of filing. So if you live in Philly, get abducted in Philly, then get whisked immediately to Louisiana before you can file your petition ...

Curious about this too, but bootlegging existed in a time of when it was hard to track and trace people’s movements & activities. We live in a world of constant surveillance now, and we do it to our damn selves with our phones and lack of tangible currency.

A THOUSAND PERCENT THIS. It’s infuriating. As a small business owner, I’m shocked at how many people are telling me the tariffs will HELP my business when my cost of goods to produce my product is skyrocketing while simultaneously sales are plummeting. 😖

4/ British kings used taxation to reward loyalty and punish dissent. Our own revolution was spurred by the King’s use of heavy taxation of the colonies to punish our push for self governance. The King’s message was simple: stop protesting and I’ll stop taxing.

The penguins on the Heard and McDonald Islands announce they are putting 30% tariffs on US goods.

Executive Orders can only deal with Executive branch issues. They're not fucking laws and every single school, company, or other entity needs to start telling them to fuck all the way off.

Senator, I was never a huge fan of yours mostly because I don’t live in your state and during your bids for president, I was simply inspired elsewhere. Now? HUGE freaking fan! I am so grateful for your voice and sensible leadership, and I regret that I didn’t realize it earlier. THANK YOU!!!

Using Signal set to auto delete is a violation of the Presidential Records Act and the Federal Records Act. Posting classified info about the strike endangered American lives. An unauthorized person on the chat makes it a violation of the Espionage Act. Gabbard and Ratcliffe committed perjury.

Been seeing this ad nonstop on network television for weeks (I live in a border state). Makes me angry every single time.

A year ago, this headline would have been from The Onion.

Watergate wasn’t the fault of the Hotel either… I think it’s ok. People need a catchy hook to keep talking. Something Trump has been great at, and the opposition needs to get better at.

I think it’s interesting that we’ve gotten to a point where we want people to be one thing all the time. All good or all bad. It’s easier to navigate that for sure, but most people are some sort of mix.

Ummm, literally none of the things he described as hoaxes were, by any definition, hoaxes. What is he even talking about?! Someone come get Hegseth- he’s drunk again.

Yeah, except in this movie, the actors have a conscience and eventually do everything they can to help the villagers. I don’t see that happening with this bag of bozos

Starting to seriously stan this Judge Boasberg. Who knew all our heros would have to do is simply be reasonable and not roll over to bullies 😍

This graphic is misleading. Back in 2024 several generals filed an amicus brief in opposition to Trump seeking absolute immunity. That immunity argument was accepted (6/3) in July 2024. There is no such case in front of SCOTUS currently. electionlawblog.org?p=142358

I have the utmost respect for lawyers who play on the nations biggest stages, but the decision makers at Paul Weis just reduced them to the ambulance chaser stereotype so many people rely on. For what? To not be bullied? What the hell kind of advocate is that?

Those parents should be charged with murder. If the government can prosecute doctors who perform abortions, why TF do these people get to not only walk free, but encourage other parents to deny their kids basic safe effective medical care.

Am I reading this right? The DOD argument here is basically “you misunderstood us” and then proceeds to lay out an ‘idea of a plan’ that would violate the privacy of every service member and simultaneously subject them to diagnosis that would characterize them as mentally disturbed?

I would add George W & Clinton to that list. Why are the former presidents remaining silent while democracy is dismantled? If we’re playing by Rump rules, any one of them could run again in ‘28
