Watching polite Black men in suits holding signs carefully observing nonviolence while being pepper sprayed shifted public attention significantly. Many were beaten and a few died, there's scars even today. And they were successful.

Reading about the history of the song John Brown's Body has lead me to a bit of an epiphany; they key problem with the Democratic Party is not that it, as an organization, is too cringe, but rather that it is *INSUFFICIENTLY* cringe. I will expand upon this when I'm not extremely tired.
