A fanatic and a liar (the clip gives plenty of context). More generally he is anti-humanitarian in his approach to decency. Federal workers are Americans serving America. To suggest an imbedded animosity/intent is not only ridiculous, it is itself admission of his approach to weaponize the US gov’t.

This is my shocked face.
Don’t get me wrong: I’m glad this is being brought to light since this type of behavior is completely in-line with the administration’s corrupt narrative and practice. And I hope that enough Americans soon know that this administration must be challenged and voted out.

Excellent reporting. Jives with other feds’ experiences. Constant fear of being fired, with zero transparency, really messes with these employees: Americans working for America and its people. It’s not only damaging to the feds - it’s negatively impacting all Americans in almost innumerable ways.

From a job retention analysis only, I understand their votes except for the senators from New York, Illinois, and Hawaii.

PBS Newshour had a segment on this very topic yesterday.

He’s going to do all of this anyway. Seriously. Use the leverage you have to demand his ouster or, at the very least, expenditure of funds as Congress commands. Voting for cloture on this bill without those sorts of Republican concessions, is a leadership failure of the highest order.

Senate Dem leadership needs to straighten up and do their damned job. Voting for cloture essentially condones the administration’s actions and guts important programs. They’re just going to vote to put this to a vote? That’s it? This is the end of the negotiation? Giving away their only leverage?

Completely agree. Caving on the spending fight is not good. It allows the administration to continue its unchecked dismantling of the federal government.

Almost like the President of Ukraine advised POTUS, on air, that the aggressor, Russia, breaks ceasefires.

This is crazytown- a vote suppression initiative targeting folks who don’t readily have documents available or where every uncrossed T and undotted I are denied their right to vote.

Because they have cash reserves to weather it and it gives them a chance to increase their holdings while things are on “sale.” The worst kind of people do this kind of thing on purpose.

This is 100% true. It even says it on the app on your phone if you bother to pay attention. Eliminating NWS means you pay for private forecasts, further draining your wallet.

I think it’s fair to say that the dismantling of the federal government is an embrace of Putin as well. I wish Sen. Murkowski and other congressional Republicans start to realize that and do some actual fucking oversight.
