I am not Bob the Angry Flower. I am not a content creator. I am a normie-adjacent weirdo with a lifelong lucky streak of falling into the social orbit of talented and amazing people. Ok, fine: "reply guy"

You open the manual for that weapon he’s holding and it will absolutely tell you not to point it at people like that. It’s only “less lethal” when handled properly. He might as well be holding a glock.

It’s designed to play into a delusional fantasy held by people who not only have never been to LA, but loudly and performatively refuse to visit them because of “the crime.” It’s for people who treat Escape from LA as a documentary.

CW Abuse If someone said, in a similarly unequal power situation, "she'd better have the house super clean when he comes home, or else she'll have provoked him" you'd probably toss that person out a fucking window

at this point if you see someone doing something weird and inflammatory in public they're almost certainly making content and screaming at them or getting confrontational is just giving them free youtube views and potentially setting yourself up for future harassment

public support for *interracial* marriage only broke 50 percent in the mid-1990s. when my parents were born it polled at 4 percent among white people, now it polls at 93 percent among white people.

Back when I was more of a little internet shithead, I used to infiltrate private forums for LEOs and first-responders, and my overwhelming takeaway was that cops, and to a lesser degree EMTs (the cops of medicine) are some of the biggest crybabies on the planet. Not being respected KILLS them.

This was not a unique observation.

It’s 2025. Jared Leto is starring in a Tron sequel, Kevin Spacey won an award at Cannes, Ezra Miller, Shia LaBoeuf, and James Franco all walked the Cannes red carpet, Garrison Keillor and Ryan Adams are touring, Louis CK won a Grammy… Tell me again that “cancel culture” exists

Tom Nichols should read this book called “The Death of Expertise” to help familiarize himself with why he might look silly when discussing the validity and integrity of protests despite lacking a background in civil rights history.

"Conservatism consists of exactly one proposition, to wit: There must be in-groups whom the law protects but does not bind, alongside out-groups whom the law binds but does not protect." Any other principle a conservative professes to believe is a lie, told in pursuit of the above.

We got these years ago. Exactly as funny as you would imagine and they come in their own little case.

I swear to god these posts are going to actually drive me insane. There is no 4D chess game being played here. No Machiavellian 'distract the masses' play. These people are fucking morons. Trump isn't Palpatine, he's fucking Jar Jar.

my Oregon patients are about 5x more likely to be Do Not Resusicate than my Texan ones

Grimly funny how the secret police raid our neighborhoods, get screamed at to fuck off by everyone in those neighborhoods, then go on their official X accounts to do 👉🥺👈 therapy posts

These people are whiners to the core. An ideology of crying about it. "Buh buh but that's not fair" you're the vice president, grow up

the guerillas who rose up to fight the genocide during the Guatemalan civil war, were just that, normal people. some had military training, but I am trying to get us all to recognize that a "hero" is simply an ordinary person willing to do the right thing

Los Angeles knows what a riot looks like. We have quite a bit of experience in that department, one of which I went through back in 1992. THIS IS NOT THAT. Not even close.

They're trying to light a Reichstag Fire but the matches are wet

They seem to think there’s a right to anonymous policing, but not to anonymous protest.

Cementing the case for how cool this place is. Every day, the worst people you know complain about it here. We've built an ecosystem that feckless Dem consultants and representatives whine about because they know the bullshit detector game here is strong.

"I asked ChatGPT what it felt like to have a conversation with a human" my dude I have some bad news for you

looks like an objective assessment to me

Remember this iconic photo from Ferguson? This is Edward Crawford, throwing back a tear gas canister to protect some nearby kids. Like many identified Ferguson protesters and organizers, he was "found dead" a couple years later and neither the cops nor the media will ever investigate.

During the BLM protests the right successfully conditioned a lot of people to believe that when cops cause chaos, it’s the protesters’ fault for exercising their rights. And more generally that protesting injustice is a problem.

the vast silent vacuum of space is louder than the free speech warriors right now

The feds kidnapping and trafficking people is a violent crime. Protesting it is fighting back against abuses of power. The government claiming protestors started the violence is DARVO—Deny, Attack, and Reverse Victim and Offender. It’s what abusers do when they face consequences.

I know it likely makes nothing better, but i still can't wait until the trumpers start blaming elon for anything that goes wrong. Sean Duffy no longer the man to blame when the planes crash

My nonviolent protest will absolutely work against a bunch of gleeful neo-Nazis who are armed and dressed like Rainbow Six characters to blackbag fry cooks and roofers

Not to name names but I've seen what happens when a cop runs into a protester they know They actually start crying and have to be pulled from the front line Because a lady asked him "if I get hit with a rubber bullet tonight; what will you tell Lucy after she sees my bruises in carpool?"

I watched The Goonies last night with my eight-year-old and I had questions about what Stef (Martha Plimpton’s character) was doing in the opening credits. Google’s AI literally got *nothing* right

it's really funny that any news anchor in america can say that biden was mentally incompetent but you can't say trump is mean without getting in big trouble

Speaking as a city dweller it’s mostly people from the neighborhood doing the protesting.

"Trans people are unpopular in polling, it turns out, and that makes them pesky and divisive. They apparently don't need to be a part of the big tent we're making. They don't need to be a part of the winning coalition we're going to make with all our pragmatic winning of the center."

Remember James Frey? The guy who wrote two (2) phony memoirs two (2) decades ago? Well he’s back. And he’s using AI. And the New York Times needs you to know all about it

Reminder: jury nullification won't be in your jury instructions and is not something you're allowed to talk about in court. If you bring up jury nullification during jury selection, you WILL be thrown off the jury. Want to nullify? Just vote to acquit. That's all nullification is: a vote to acquit.

love seeing this guy circulating around social media again

How do you protest peacefully when the police keep hitting you? Do you just go home? What comes next? How do we oppose this? Don’t say “hold Democrats feet to the fire.” They have proven that, and I’m being generous here, they can’t help (I think they just don’t care tbh)

Once again, we have “your speech is totally free as long as you are saying things we like.”
