He saw the polls and chickened out. He’s very simple.

The Ocean followed by Jump. Sound advice.

Maybe the temperature drops and we find ways of living together in the United States. I promise that’s not going to happen while people like Miller are anywhere close to power.

I can’t reconcile putting jazz in comp w rock/pop šŸŽ šŸŠ n whatnot. So going all jazz this week. Rock/pop alt list follows… 1. Dexter Gordon: Go 2. Hancock: Maiden Voyage 3. Miles: Sketches of Spain 4. Brubeck: Time Out 5. Nina Simone In Concert HM: My Favorite Things Black Saint & Sinner Lady

Not quite Falstaff is fine. Given the nature of his demise. Nobody wants that. Not quite that seems good.

Hardest thing I’ve ever been through. Reversing roles w the 100% in-charge Naval Intelligence Officer, Duke PhD, Dean of Women’s Liberal Arts College and still super fun guy so that I’m effectively the Dad was brutal and something I still can’t quite get my head around. How can this be right?

Rapist sadist mentality. It’s psychosexual. The whole MAGA project. Shitty, broken, disordered humans who want to force themselves on and hurt anyone who doesn’t seem as shitty as they are - reinforced constantly by TV socialmedia etc 24 hour stream of happy fun sunshine they aren’t allowed to have.

If it’s pain you’re looking for give the NC Courage a shot. They make an art of underperforming. Great little 10k stadium though… and they have Manaka Matsukubo. Love em.

First watched w my retired Naval Intelligence Pops when I was a kid - it was broadcast on our local PBS station. He attested to its authenticity. Bought the DVDs and rewatched a few years ago to prep for a spy series I EP-ed. So that it’s now streaming on BritBox, so jumping in for a THIRD time āœØšŸ”„šŸ•µšŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

Pretty much does the trick every time. Really makes for a fruitful session. Can follow up with Nico’s version if you think a woman’s perspective might help. (had a dude shrink and a gal shrink for many years - horses for courses and suchlike)

Right? I just cannot. I think it’s neurological šŸ˜†ā€¦ my brain does different things completely when I listen to jazz vs rock/soul/pop/r&b. I’m sure it has to do w song structure, vox, tonal harmony etc. but I’m not switched on enough to truly, identify, compare, contrast šŸ¤“ these books might help…

Lotsa big delightful moments this season - so the sports Seneca in me can live w the injuries, the 3rd best team waltzing to the title, the existence of Gary Neville etc But what does it say about me that losing constant low-grade amusement at the Spurs’ epic trophylessness feels like such a loss?
