Meh, some banal stuff about me.
I like books, music, hockey, 'mingos, my grandchildren and tech. I am on Mastodon as @[email protected]. I am "watched the moon landing live" years old

What few transformative apologies I've received in my life have come out of nowhere. When you tell people they've hurt you, they tend to clamp down, get defensive, come up with every excuse they can to not feel like a Bad Person, no matter how crappy the thing they did.

It sounds like two different pacts, but it's really the same one. I am no longer going to use my words to dig deeper trenches in my negative attitudes about things. If I find my mind constructing a sentence whose only purpose is to reaffirm my bad attitude about something, I'm going to let it go.

Dying does not make you a "loser" of some "battle" that winners win. No one "beats" death. You can delay it with certain choices, certainly, but it is not some special sad kind of victim who dies. It is all of us.
Death is not unfair. It is the most even-handed, unbiased force in existence.

Most of the time though, people's "anything could happen!" stems from an inability to be at peace with the prospect of death. We all need to get there eventually. It's not pessimism to be at peace with mortality and our lack of control over it. It is the one "bad thing" we all MUST prepare for.

There is literally no reason to call them that. Posts on Twitter were called "tweets" because it was bird-themed and it was a cutesy but accurate way to describe short utterances by a bird.
You don't have to rhyme with Nazis. Especially when the results are kinda gross. Posts can just be posts.

Been following you for a long time and I have pretty much always had the same opinion of you. I am happy to share that with you at any time (and on repeat if you like)

People are mean, rude and hateful (ok, not all people but certainly the most vocal ones). This trend is accelerating and seems to have started in 2015/2016 - no idea what happened that year (j/k) to normalize hate.

Move it back a couple of days to the 5th. Then you can share it with a truly great person (me).

The encouragement I give writers is this:
If you love it, if it completes you, never stop.
Otherwise, feel no guilt about not doing it. The world will turn just fine. Do something that makes you happier.

Your "three things" would make the world a much nicer place if THOSE were on classroom walls.

On any given day, there are only three things I need to do:
1) Enjoy my life.
2) Be someone I would love.
3) Make things better.
Nowhere in there is anything about anyone else, and what they choose to do.
I must try harder to remember that.
