Drinking mince pie flavoured tea in May. Think that’s a win.

How’s anyone doing today? I’ll literally take any interaction please :)

Having a studio clear up at 2.50am - that means music is being made tomorrow.

Let's talk about Spotify for a second. I released a song last month. My first in nearly 4 years. I have 2300 followers on Spotify and before the release I had about 350 monthly listeners. I had about 50 listeners a day. I have one song over 100,000 streams, a couple are getting close to that.

Off to Newcastle. 5 hour drive to play some of my songs for people. Life is good :) If you’re in Newcastle and you’d like to be one of those people: davejgiles.com/event/597799... It’s pay what you can…. 👌 or completely free if you want

The Handmaid’s Tale is back and it’s like it never went away…

Looking For A ~ @davejgiles.bsky.social Have a listen to this fab new song, here or wherever you stream your music.. open.spotify.com/album/2QMWOF...

I’m being really shameless today. I’ve turned 40, and to celebrate I’ve released my first new song in 4 years… please help my celebrate my milestone by listening to this song - maybe add it to a playlist or drop the link in all your WhatsApp/Signal group chats. open.spotify.com/track/42c1Qv...

Planned action! Protest planned at parliament square on Saturday at 1pm to protest supreme court ruling.

Just had a beaut of a rehearsal for my gig tomorrow. It’s such a great feeling knowing I’ll be out playing my own songs for a change, thrilled to have more gigs around the country planned for the next few months too. Must add to that list!

In a world of Matts, be a Derek.

Good news everyone. According to my latest blood test, I have 1% chance of heart attack or stroke in the next 10 years. That’s consider low risk by the NHS. Feeling good.

In 1978 NASA selected a new class of astronauts, the most diverse in the agency’s history. This is their story. #16Sunsets podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/1...

Heading into London to go to a night of celebration of the music of David Crosby at the Barbican with my mum, dad and brother. Mum and Dad took us to see Crosby, Stills and Nash when I was just 6 years old. Gonna be emotional I think. open.spotify.com/track/0O87QQ...

A new episode of @16sunsets.bsky.social on the Space Shuttle is out. BIG speakers recommended for this one. pod.link/1771470820 "Anatomy of a Firecracker" contains engineers making seemingly impossible things, and @christianlundberg.bsky.social "having it large" 🚀😀🎶

An astonishing exploration of the reality of ‘DEI’ in this excellent @drkevinfong.bsky.social podcast about 1970s NASA. The testimony from older male astronauts on how female excellence changed their minds is memorable. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/1...

Ep 4 #16Sunsets New Frontiers. Worth a listen on this day more than most. #NASA has always pushed back boundaries in space & here on Earth. In 1978 it selected the Thirty Five New Guys, at the time the most diverse astronaut class in its history. podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/1...

My first Blue Sky post goes to this… Mastering the upcoming @davejgiles.bsky.social album in Abbey Road yesterday with Geoff Pesche. This album is finally looking like it’s coming out this year!

My friend sent me this song he co-wrote, and it blew me away: open.spotify.com/album/0fuR55...

New ep of the #16Sunsets pod now available. Great stories and moving moments in this one on the first women & people of colour hired as astronauts for the #shuttle program. Lovely work by @drkevinfong.bsky.social, @davejgiles.bsky.social, Rami Tzabar & @richardcourtice.bsky.social bit.ly/3VO4uMQ

Someone should make a tea called Oolong Musk…
