I absolutely agree. It’s not likely that astronauts could survive the trip to Mars, and very unlikely that they could survive for months on the Red Planet before making the 7 to 9 month trip back. It would be a suicide mission.

Fascinating glimpse into the Milky Way and other sites in our Cosmos!

The Moon played Hide & Seek with me tonight, between the clouds, but I caught it a few times!

Last night I was finally able to capture the Great Globular Cluster (M13), in the constellation Hercules. This is a massive collection of several hundreds of thousands of stars, about 23,000 light years away from Earth. This is one of the Crown Jewels of the night sky!

I find great comfort in this perspective. My life on earth may be brief, compared to the Cosmos. But I am made of atoms forged in the fiery hearts of stars. When my time here is over, these atoms will remain, and I will remain part of the Cosmos.

Just got my official welcome kit as a NASA Solar System Ambassador today! I’m eager to share information on NASA’s missions to explore the solar system and beyond! Ad Astra et ultra!👩‍🚀🌔🪐🚀🛰️🌌

I love this quote.

She's not alone. For me, a night without starlight is worse than a day without sunlight! Ad astra!

I'm honored to announce that I have been selected as a NASA Solar System Ambassador! I join a team of over 1,200 volunteers across the country who communicate the science and excitement of NASA's space exploration missions and discoveries with the people in their communities.
