This are excellent news for the Syrian people. After decades of Assad and Russian terror, the country has a chance to return back to normality. For Russia and Iran this is extremely bad news. The power balance in the Middle East is shifting against them.

It's a great story, with wonderful art by #Araujo, and well worth your time! I was glad to see things wrapped up neatly, at a time when everything is an IP and every penny is to be wrung out, but I would love to see them together on another project.

Just a reminder, for decades monthly comics were done entirely by hand and still put out every month.

Duolingo has said they are replacing contract workers with AI and that they not replacing or firing their employees. Duolingo, however, is a game. It's good for becoming familiar with a language, but it is not really a learning tool. Nobody has ever become fluent in anything using it.

An important storyline involves a missing daughter. Oesterheld & his children, four adult daughters, were all victims of the then ruling dictatorship’s Dirty War, in which thousands disappeared, murdered. The family was able to recover a grandson, but Oesterheld & his daughter were never found.

This seems to me the biggest change to the original. That might seem a strange thing to say, given that an almost entirely new story is being built around #Oesterheld and Lopez’s ideas, but the core and the spirit is there. I strongly recommend it.

Perhaps because English readers have been introduced to it in a collected format, many keep calling it a ‘graphic novel.’ It wasn’t. It was a serialized comic strip. No, I am not being pedantic. In adapting it to a longer form of storytelling, the pacing has necessarily slowed down. ...

got 6% of the vote and 6% of the seats (22/343). After that things break down. The Greens got 1% of the vote but 0.003% of the seats. Actually, they got one seat. The NDP got 6% of the vote, but only 2% of the seats (7/343_.
The Liberals, however, got 49% of the seats (169/343) and 44% of the vote.
