Trump actually is the puppet President, or the PP for short. He signs EOs and talks to the press. He does not know most of what is even going on. The hypocrisy is beyond the pale.

Exactly. Mr. That War would have never started if I were President. Well, dipshit, you are President and here we are.

I hear you, but I still think he is full of shit. They can bribe him more easily and directly through his meme coin, DJT, his BS crypto exchange, or any number of avenues, though illegal. He does not give a fuck. This is a vanity project, so he is exaggerating by a lot.

There is no waiting list. He is full of shit.

Why would any of them want to become citizens here? Their lives are good the way they are. They can travel here when they want, as it is.

He is so full of shit. 15K wealthy people want to become citizens of the US when they can already come and go as they please, and then have it potentially revoked when the next administration comes on board.

I feel your pain. It is almost like they are full of shit about what matters to them. Just thinking out loud :)

That left a mark. Ouch! LOL

Is it now arrest first and ask questions later? What the fuck are they handcuffing him for? He announced he was a Senator, but he shouldn't be handcuffed even if he wasn't. You ask him to leave first and foremost. I get that everyone here is outraged, but it should be everyone everywhere.

They know what they are doing is fucked up because they are telling the guy no recording live. Why can't he record live? This is so fucked up. They are getting more brazen with each passing day.

Nancy Mace is a caricature. I mean WTF was that? She is a one-trick pony and insane, insecure, and desperate for attention. Are there any members of the Republican party that are actually sane and serious about doing some good for the American people? The Nancy Mace shtick is beyond old already.

Not everything is inflation. That is the smallest problem IMO. Growth is the biggest problem. Also, the BBB is going to hurt the people who spend all their dollars in the economy the most. Growth is slowing, close to record highs, spending up even with stupid cuts, and chaos everywhere.
comment in response to post
Plus, there are signs everywhere of a slowing economy and the consumer pulling back. Not to mention the huge decline in tourism and the weakness in the job market. To top it off, major unrest and canceled government contracts in the billions have not yet been accounted for in the market.

Why do you guys keep saying this as if something should already show up in the hard numbers? It is barely a month, and the imports in March and then the decline in April prove that people front-loaded the tariffs. Earnings were solid, but that is Jan-March. Need to see earnings and guides (2Q-3Q)

This market has its head up its ass. On a rally off the lows, that would suggest serious growth, and everything is a well-oiled machine. Explain to me where that is happening because it is not fucking here.

How is this even legal? Why would anybody buy this? If you can afford the card, you can already come and go as you please.

Stocks double in a month on nonsense or go up 20% in a week. It is like people don't want better entry points. They would rather chase. Stocks that should sell off go higher, and stocks that should rip higher go lower. Up 9 days in a row. No problem. It is absurd.

Yet we continue to grind higher. The market has not functioned properly in years and continues to worsen as retail is more able to move markets than previously. It was bad enough having to contend with big money and their manipulation, but now we have FOMO and MEME trading on steroids.

Politico has been an embarrassment for a long time now.

The bigger question is why the market keeps cheering for this total charade? Even when the market did not get the lift from export restrictions for tech, it keeps going. It sold off a little when Lutnick spoke on CNBC and then recovered. I don't get how the market thinks this is good.
comment in response to post
This is fucking BS! You can't arrest someone for talking to you. Some of the comments on the video are cheering for this BS! WTF is wrong with people?

Need to see how this shakes out in 2Q earnings, as well. The costs are real. Someone is paying for it. If not the consumer, then the companies are. It is just math.

Beyond the headlines that the market seems to bite on still, the market has completely ignored his tariffs. Some of it is "TACO" Tuesday every day, and some is just wishful thinking because of benign inflation way too early reports. If not showing up in higher prices, then profits and margins it is.

"TACO" Tuesday every day!

She may not have said this, but we know it's true.

What a Douche!

It is either going to show up in inflation or earnings. They are either passing the cost or eating it. That also could change as they realize the tariffs are not going away.

It's odd to mention GDP when we just came off a negative quarter, as messy as it was. The same is true for job growth, which, if you take the substantial revisions of the previous two months and average out the three, shows some weakness in jobs, especially manufacturing.

Inflation is coming down at the same rate it would have if Biden were President—probably even more. It was just a month ago that they were saying this was Biden's economy. Also, there are signs of weakness everywhere. It will either show up in the prices of products or the profits of companies.

All the people who need them currently think he has already phased it out because they are getting no help.

My guess is that most of these supposed agents are not even real agents who have gone through proper training. They are private white nationalists cosplaying as agents. That is why their faces are covered.

They crashed into the car and then pulled guns on the driver for no apparent reason except to get away with the crash. This is fucking bullshit already.
comment in response to post
This is fucking crazy. So they mistakenly crash into a vehicle and then pull guns on the driver for no reason, and then leave the screen. What the fuck is wrong with these people?! FFS

We were not sure we could trust the numbers just last week. Not because they are dishonest, though I am sure it is pretty easy to shave .01 or .02 off the headline number, and nobody would even notice. It is because they are understaffed and could not make enough checks. What happened to that?
comment in response to post
Exactly, and we are already seeing signs that the consumer is pulling back some.
comment in response to post
They will either lead to inflation, which was always going to be a blip because that is how the impact of tariffs works, or reduced corporate profits/margins. They either pass the cost or eat it. Also, a slowing economy may be hiding the impact because lowering prices is what they do to attract.

Some of our companies get a 6-month license for magnets, and Chinese students may get to go to American universities. World-class deal-making if I have ever seen it. Why the market keeps grinding higher, and this nonsense that is only really a headline to drive markets higher. Zero substance.
