I can tell you though that some of the varieties in Hawaiʻi that you can find at fruit stands and small local markets, they are really delicious. Supermarket bananas have no taste compared to a good dwarf apple banana from someone's yard in Haʻiku.

If we tried to scale production in Hawaiʻi, then bunchy top virus will spread much faster. We do not have treatment or resistant varieties for BBTV. No amount of financial incentives can boost our domestic banana production.

I think when people see a shiny Porsche they think "rich dude, probably an asshole." But the rusted version makes you think "adventurous, probably a bit of a rascal, fun to hang out with." But the fact that it's just a ruse means this car is owned by the former, pretending to be the latter.
