I am curious how this savings breaks down compared to other shows, but I assume the information isn’t public. Like how much of it is salaries versus other shows? How much of it is due to them mostly using the same sets?

Remember how one of networks wouldn’t let The X-Files and Picket Fences crossover, so on Picket Fences they just talk about the event on X-Files as something that happened in a nearby town? I was watching both shows at the time without any foreknowledge and was taken by surprised.
