An interesting division in fandom now - which echoes the '90s - are those who think there must always be DW on the TV, no matter what, & those who are happy for the show to rest & come back when it's got some new, fresh ideas. Both camps very genuine, & understandable views.

Warriors of the Deep gets the 500 Yr Diary treatment from @flightthroughentirety.com; really enjoyed the discussion! I think it's really underrated, even if several key aspects fail! Don't disagree on the Silurians though; I think the redesign looks terrible! Simon/Peter's plot ideas are perfect!

Something Rob & I speculated on our @thedwshow.net Hot Take of Reality War was that enjoyment of the ep would depend a lot on how much the viewer cared about Poppy & her fate. Having now seen a lot of reactions, I think that really was a big factor.

My biggest takeaway from Reality War is that that Pythia & Looms are now canon, & I'm here for it! Other fans got Dimensions in Time last week, I'm taking this.... and.... loving it! 😂

An interesting @pulltoopen.bsky.social on Reality War where they pick all the same faults, but enjoy it a lot more than @thedwshow.net - especially the last 30 mins. Although @petepachal.bsky.social notes almost exactly the same points on Omega as I do! 😂 A fun, different perspective.
