If he didn’t vote, he has no right to complain about the result.

Only on arrival by UKBA. Never at departure.

The RW papers in the UK run regular articles about how to “hack” 90/180, so yes, absolutely.

Possibly. I’m generally against translating lyrics even when the translation is a good one. I hate Zucchero’s and Andrea Bocelli’s English-language songs, for example. Arrgh.

It should be illegal to ever play Nena in translation

I really wish there were a different English term for FoM, because that only implies ability to cross borders. We should really call it “Freedom to Settle” or something like that. Would help remove the confusion.

No other outcome was going to fly without breaking Schengen, so this is no surprise.

Illegal doesn’t necessarily mean criminal. But my point is, if it’s illegal for someone to work it should be equally illegal to employ them.
comment in response to post
As a former mayor of Vienna once said, behind every illegal employEE is an illegal employER.

Renaming “Reform UK” to NF ?

Does she even know what a burqa is, or is it a catch-all term for headscarf in her world? Better hope she doesn’t have any nuns as constituents in that case 😏

Austria?

Presumably Badenoch will be calling for the creation of a Volksgerichtshof as well.

It’s because they want to be able to lock anyone up for as long as they like, without trial or any legal recourse, citing “will of the people”. It’s a necessary stepping stone to a Trumpian dystopia.

You’re going to have to write a few more chapters when you get round to writing the next edition!

What nonsense.

Income taxes? Really?
comment in response to post
Did I touch a nerve there? It’s exceptionalism because it’s more than EU citizens get, “chum”. And if you want the benefits, then you should contribute.
comment in response to post
This kind of exceptionalism is hugely offensive. Get a goddamn visa. Register for taxes and social security. Not even EU citizens get 365/365 without contributing.

It’s always reassuring when people with no knowledge of tech assume a magical tech solution will solve all their problems … 🤦‍♂️

Biggest tenth meridian, if you please 😉

Did one of them have the cheek to mention that they all pay more income tax than he does?

I used to be against ID cards but now I see how they would prove entitlement to benefits and also prove 100% where you live. So no “main residence swapping” for 2nd home owners etc.

Dune shields cause a nuclear explosion if hit by a laser. In the books, anyway.

Unlikely to be possible with the new ETIAS system and biometric checks kicking in for 3rd country nationals, which is what Brits voted to be.

“The EU must” … this is just more exceptionalism. Hugely disappointing for a supposedly pro-EU party.
comment in response to post
It was worse than that. The justification was “she might be eligible for” Bangladeshi citizenship. On that basis, any Jewish person could be made stateless because they “might” be eligible for Israeli citizenship.

Then you’ll need an ETA for one direction or the other.

It’s not a visa. It’s a visa waiver. But yeah, it’s more Brexit winning 🤦‍♂️. And when tbe EU introduces its own system dual citizens will need to always travel with both passports.

Don’t compare Melania to hookers. Hookers have more morals.

Just make the directors personally liable for every time they break the law. That would fix things immediately, I think.

Emigrate to an EU country if you can fulfil the necessary criteria (e.g. job offer, independent income). Then after a few years you may be able to apply for citizenship. Obviously every country will be different and the bureaucratic hurdles may be immense. But it’s possible.

What he really wants is his security back.

It’s astonishing that this stuff even needs to be said. Brexit has made us Billy No Mates while the big trading blocks duke it out with each other, and not choosing sides is no longer an option.

What would he even know about taxes? You have to have some amazing brass neck to be a billionaire tax avoider and then complain about them.

The kind of person who screams about helping “our own” first would, of course, never dream of helping “our own” anyway.

They seem to think the UK is some kind of benefits El Dorado, when there are many EU countries with a far more generous welfare system.
