I have to be honest. I think that sign has been photoshopped or AI-generated. You can see the white edge of the original. But the points remains a good one.

So, if we're following the Rittenouse laws of logic, she could shoot the subdoers and argue self defense. And probably get acquitted.

I know several cops. Most went into the profession not knowing what else to do and are mad at the world. The others went into it with good intentions but got radicalized within a few years. TBF, all of them are suffering from PTSD and need to be in therapy.

He made a profound statement about society and the human condition, which is what all good religious leaders will do. And the point went 50,000 feet over your head.

Me: Alice Cooper. Literally bumped into him with my popcorn and drink, leaving the snack bar at a movie theater.

Been hearing that BS for forty years. Same old story. And same old federal debt.

But the oil rig platforms that have sprouted up along the California coastline? All good with that visual pollution, eh?

You are not alone. Many, many commentators are seeing the same thing in LA. Keep up the good work.

Adolescence is a bit overrated, to
me. The first episode is a scorcher, but nothing afterward held my attention. Whatever critics thought was being revealed was not nevessarily new and bold to those of us with teens at home. Would be interesting to study that divide.

The NBA has fallen prey to the same issues MLB's has had: when the regular season is focused on only a few markets, then don't be shocked when there is no national attention when your beloved franchises don't make it to the championship.

You've apparently never owned or operated a business. It's called risk aversion. And yes: it is a thing.

You missed the point: the Dbacks signed Burnes and Montgomery to big contracts. And what happened? Small market owners look at this sort of thing and shiver. And this is why.

Correct

You're assuming that Burnes will be back at all in 2026 and that when he eventually does return he'll be as good as new.
comment in response to

Actually, this is the cautionary tale, Keith. It's not that some owners are cheap; it's that they're risk averse. Can't blame them. The Dbacks made two big moves on starting pitchers the past two years and both blew up in their face.

This is why small market teams don't sign players to these deals, Jeff.

When DT said of John McCain, a decorated war veteran, "He's only a hero because he got captured," and still got R support, I knew what was coming. That was the moment the R party completely shifted.

Just to be PERFECTLY clear: the first round of Trump tax cuts were still in effect during Biden's term. Mike and other Rs wanna keep complaining about the economy under Biden...well, how'd those tax cuts work out for everyone?

1. COVID was just a flu and blown out of proportion; 2. COVID's origins must be investigated and we need to punish those responsible.
Can't have it both ways, MAGA.
