You are not alone. Many, many commentators are seeing the same thing in LA. Keep up the good work.

Adolescence is a bit overrated, to me. The first episode is a scorcher, but nothing afterward held my attention. Whatever critics thought was being revealed was not nevessarily new and bold to those of us with teens at home. Would be interesting to study that divide.

Lucky you. Or him. Both, really. πŸ˜‰

He had talent at Tottenham.

The NBA has fallen prey to the same issues MLB's has had: when the regular season is focused on only a few markets, then don't be shocked when there is no national attention when your beloved franchises don't make it to the championship.

You've apparently never owned or operated a business. It's called risk aversion. And yes: it is a thing.

You missed the point: the Dbacks signed Burnes and Montgomery to big contracts. And what happened? Small market owners look at this sort of thing and shiver. And this is why.
comment in response to post
Correct
comment in response to post
You're assuming that Burnes will be back at all in 2026 and that when he eventually does return he'll be as good as new.
comment in response to post
Actually, this is the cautionary tale, Keith. It's not that some owners are cheap; it's that they're risk averse. Can't blame them. The Dbacks made two big moves on starting pitchers the past two years and both blew up in their face.
comment in response to post
This is why small market teams don't sign players to these deals, Jeff.

Once he is back, a civil suit needs to be filed in regards to the phony MS13 tattoo photoshopped on his knuckles.

The irony in all of this is Rubio's own path to citizenship.

Isn't that what the Hippocratic Oath was supposed to be?

When DT said of John McCain, a decorated war veteran, "He's only a hero because he got captured," and still got R support, I knew what was coming. That was the moment the R party completely shifted.
comment in response to post
Just to be PERFECTLY clear: the first round of Trump tax cuts were still in effect during Biden's term. Mike and other Rs wanna keep complaining about the economy under Biden...well, how'd those tax cuts work out for everyone?
comment in response to post
Actually, no. Please educate yourself on the region.

1. COVID was just a flu and blown out of proportion; 2. COVID's origins must be investigated and we need to punish those responsible. Can't have it both ways, MAGA.

Correct

Maybe so. Interestingly, neither the city of Anaheim nor Orange County officials cared all that much.

True, but...the Rams played there 1989-1995. And they were the Los Angeles Rams.

That wasn't the point. The Magic and Bird rivalry was based on both being MVP type players. Clark-Reese is not. Clark is in that conversation. Inthink you're right about Aja...Stewart? Perhaps. I think Collier is actually the best player in the women's game.
comment in response to post
Reese isn't on Clark's level. Not even close.
comment in response to post
Because...y'all keep bringing it up?
comment in response to post
TBF, much of the news in the NBA isn't actually about basketball.
comment in response to post
Magic and Bird were BOTH great players. πŸ˜‰

Well, we knew this a long time ago with the Hannibal Lecter nonsense, and the the "eating cats and dogs" crapola. But it didn't matter to enough people.

Americans won't realize the full extent of this irresponsibility for at least a decade. It's a silent killer. 😒

How is this any different from the Juan Soto soap opera the media spoon feeds us?
comment in response to post
Yeah, but we really need to get to the bottom of Joe Biden's mental state two years ago. πŸ™„
